Can't believe some of you want to sign Rondo...
NBA referee Bill Kennedy revealed he is gay in a Monday report by Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

According to Kennedy, Sacramento Kings point guard Rajon Rondo leveled an anti-gay slur after being ejected from the team's December 3 game in Mexico City against the Boston Celtics.

Kennedy also spoke about his decision to come out publicly, per Wojnarowski: "I am proud to be an NBA referee, and I am proud to be a gay man. I am following in the footsteps of others who have self-identified in the hopes that will send a message to young men and women in sports that you must allow no one to make you feel ashamed of who you are."

Rondo was suspended one game for his conduct and refusal to leave the court immediately after Kennedy, 49, assessed him consecutive technical fouls in the aforementioned contest. Other game officials witnessed Rondo's unsavory antics.

The NBA conducted an investigation on the incident involving Rondo and Kennedy; National Basketball Referee's Association general counsel Lee Seham provided Wojnarowski with the official report filed by Kennedy and his crew.

Ben Taylor, a referee who worked the game with Kennedy in which Rondo was ejected, mentioned part of what the mercurial floor general said, including (Warning: NSFW Language), "You're a m-----------g faggot...You're a f-----g faggot, Billy."

What an asshole

That's awful by Rondo. Ugh.

Also, on the lighter side, Bargs still gonna Bargs...

Classic.....makes me feel warm and fuzzy that we gave up this years pick for him. Whoever championed that trade needs to be sent to Gitmo so they can get a piece of that sandwich they wanted to give Harold & Kumar!!!

This is part of Rondo's personality that has been with him for years. Nobody ever doubts his physical attributes and he has been depicted as having a great mathematical mind but its also been noted he has some personality disorders that he just does not socially blend in and has created problems. With Boston he was held in check by KG, Pierce and Ray. Bacically he was untradeable for any great value for years because of this. He is not a bad person but just lacks personality traits that a talented basketball player should have. Its why he never got big contract as he can never really be a team leader.

I doubt he really said what he said with malice but he was just "Matter of fact" about it which regardless is unacceptable in todays social conscience environment. Its not that big a deal, but NBA plays in public funded buildings, has hundreds of corp sponsorships and millions of ticket holders/viewers all of different back grounds. The NBA is a public entertainment corporation and these guys are grilled about this kind of thing.

Very glad he never found his way to NYC and a member of the knicks.

That's the kind of unselfish passing we need from Melo!!

Just kidding, I love Westbrook. He's one of my favorite players to watch. There's part of me that hopes he somehow winds up a Knick in the next few years when he's a FA. A lot depends on what happens with Durant, I'd think.

When u take on the job of being a referee or a umpire at any level of the game (children or pros) expect to be humiliated verbally! There's no such thing as political correctness when u r a referee or umpire!
This is Bull jive from the highest level of Rondo Haters!

u are right, It's not that big a deal! There's no such thing as sensitivity of name calling when u r a referee or umpire .. When u look like a duck n quack like a duck, u shouldn't be ashamed when called a duck.
I'm a Blackman born in the 1950's in South Carolina, as a veteran traveling all over the USA there isn't a foul name i haven't been called to my face or behind my back just for the color of my skin. So hell to the NO! i would not put myself out there to become a referee or umpire.

After having a 54 win season, we took a billion steps backwards when we traded our first-round pick for a day 1 BUST Bargs.

Besides this isn't really Melo's team.

The $124M contract will refute that comment, especially receiving a 3 year advance for resigning.
I thought all Knicks fans knew Melo dont push the ball! The reason Denver traded Iverson for Billups
Melo has always been more confuse than a rookie when on a fastbreak

you don't seem to be very well informed. In fact Melo recently was calling for the Knicks to push the ball.

And that 3 year advance is just nonsense.

Kemet @ 12/16/2015 12:52 AM
Shumpert return hasn't lost a step in his relentless defense for the Cavs .. I still believe the Cavs organization owe the Knicks a first round pick for Shumpert n inconsistent JR.Smith
