Clippers are paying Josh Smith to go away, they're paying the rest of his salary and receiving a defunct second round pick in return. Funny thing is, this trade will probably help Rockets immeasurably.
Helps the Clips chemistry- didn't Josh have a screaming match with one of the coaches? Rockets now need to jettison Ty Lawson to help their chemistry, though that team is devoid of leadership. I don't get how they can be such a bad defensive team- Ariza, Pat Beverley, KJ McDaniels, Howard and Brewer are all good defenders.
Yeah, it helps the Clips chemistry. I think it'll help the Rockets chemistry, too. They have no leaders, but Dwight and Harden respect Josh. Houston is such a weird team. I think this move will really help though - they do need to jettison Lawson ASAP.
Clippers have been Hack-A-Jordaned too many times...
watching espn 2 talk about the firing on the show "Around the Horn" what is the number ticker that keeps going up?

The coach Josh had a screaming match with was Mike Woodson. Round and round we go.
Myles Turner is going to be a beast- looked good in summer league, but injuries kept him out of the start of the regular season. Went for 31 Pts (on12-17 shooting), 8 red, 2 blocks and a steal in 27mins.
Cavs are down 17 in the 3rd. Cav fans are booing the cavs.
Cavs lose at home. I thought they would experience the new coach bump.

Wow! We should really give him a try.
Stories out of Cleveland are interesting. Lue is a rookie coach himself so its not like the dude got total cred either. Its easy to second guess and hopefully for them he knows how to get Love into the mix. He also has to deal with JR!!!! He needs to get Verajao an Mozgove up and running as well.
Blatt was up 2-1 against GSW (game one loss was overtime game thay had in the bag and could have been 3-0) without Kyrie or Love. For all his deficiencies Blatt still did that. Naturally it was on Lebrons back which was an amazing performance. I gave up hating on the best of the generation because I hated Jordan so much it took time for me to appreciate what he was doing. Lebron makes going to the finals normal and we label him a "loser" for it.
Blatt will have his choice of Lakers, Wolves and perhaps others before next season starts and the experience makes him a better coach for the NBA.
I'll be surprised if Blatt stays unemployed for long. I can't see him, ahem, replacing Fisher but I can see him landing at, oh, the Nets or Lakers. Considering last year was his first in the NBA and that Cleveland is a complicated situation, I thought he did quite well, even if it made some sense for Cleveland to dump him last week.
I <3 GS but . . . I'm thinking the Spurs, even without Duncan, are likely to win tonight. The Spurs have been playing sightly better, slightly more consistent, ball recently. Spurs by 5? Should be an interesting game . . .
GS plays 6 guards every night one of them is the best player in the game--the other probably a top 5 SG and the rest are all good--impossible to guard.

I was hoping to see a GS loss at home by the Spurs tonite .. The GS 6 guards are running circles around the Duncan-less Spurs team
Curry is right up there with Jordan if hes not better. He wont have the longevity Jordan had as Jordan was a bigger more physical athlete but prime to prime they are close as heck.

The Cavs organization dismissal of Blatt to get first bids on signing one or maybe two of some of the winning ex head-coaches available now or in offseason was a bright move.
When u really look at it .. Blatts a rookie coach with a championship super star who plays at the championship level
I also thought the no Duncan Spurs were capable of stopping GS small-ball rotation in GS
3 minute left in 4th qtr. GS 110 n Spurs 80 ... who gonna stop GS in GS ???

Sorry .. Curry is know comparison to Jordan ...
Jordan took the NBA to the next level of b.ball in his rookie season.
Before Jordan did it .. Magic & Bird had took the NBA to the next level of b.ball in their rookie season.
This just in...
Steph Curry is a freakin beast...

C'mon now!! I know your a bit impressionable these days to what you see but "right up there" is a bit much. While he has a chip, he on par with Nash, Cousey, Logo, etc. Not on Mt Rushmore quite yet. But I'd say he on the summit with some good names!!!

I agree. Forget about MJ, I don't think he is there yet with Larry Legend and Magic. I would argue that at ALL their primes, Larry Bird was the best of them all. Bird had everything.
