I have serious doubt Jennings market will be big enough to get him $10m. He is in reclamation project stage. He hasn't looked good since his injury and he wasn't that great to begin with.

well I say 7-8 at most if everything looks great. Crazyd wants to start him at 15 million. Fans are terrible GM's.
Jennings is not much of an upgrade vs. Jose.

I think the best comparison I herd is he is slightly better Ray Felton(the skinny version
)

I could agree with that.

Where did I say $15M? I've said I think it'll take $12M to $13M year 1.
For the record I asked you to name one dude you'd sign and you couldn't come up with a single realistic name.
I think Bayless is a similar player that would cost less than Jennings.

Bayless is more a shooter and less a playmaker than Jennings, to my mind. But I think he'd be an upgrade over what we have here.

I agree but the knicks do not need playmakers. They are both very flawed players that bounce to and fro from good season to bad season to healthy and unhealthy. Now if you can get Jennings for $5m then sign him up. I'd also still go after Bayless for depth because Bayless is a $3-5m type guy at best also

Maybe the Knicks can get Jennings for a deal like Rondo got? 1yr $10M?
I just think he is far better than he's shown this season. He's probably not fully recovered from his surgery. Usually they say it takes a year.

This is why I think he gets way less than $10m. Plus his reputation around the league. Also, Rondo is a former championship winning pg that had major playoff success. That will get you more money than someone like Jennings imo. Honestly, I think Skiles keeps him in Orl and ships Watson out of town but if he goes it's D.Will land.

Jennings is unrestricted. And the backup in Orlando. I think if we promised him at least a *shot* at the starting job in NY, he'd strongly consider it.
Thinking about it - I do think the Nets will try to overpay him.
i think the nets, sixers and other teams with PG vacancies will offer him playing time

I think I can honestly and impartially say that the Knicks are in better shape than the Nets and Sixers.
What other teams desperately need a PG? Maybe Sacramento if Rondo leaves?
Most teams have a PG, it's a PG-driven league!

Payton is out again so Jennings should be getting more playing time Orlando. It will be interesting to see if he ups his value at all.
I don't think skiles is sold on Payton not should he be and wants someone who he has more of a connection with. Jennings is his Sasha

Move Payton to backup or trade him. Payton is another Wroten like pg that can't shoot a lick. At least he plays defense and is a try hard player with a good ast/to rate.

16pts 8rebs 4ast tonight in 23min.
Batum had 26pts 9ast 7rebs though. He's actually played much better since the Hornets moved him back to SF. I don't know if it makes sense to sign him with the idea of playing him at SG. He struggled there. Hornets are on a roll since getting Courtney Lee to play SG.

I think it would be an awkward line up with Batum Carmelo KP and Lopez--way way way to slow to big. Really its two C and two 3-4's
The next super team is going to be Minnesota. The combination of Lavine Wiggins Dieng and Towns is the future of the NBA. I would definitely take Denzel Valentine at 5-6 or wherever they pick there unless they get pick 1 or 2.
