Grant looks good in some ways needs to shoot the rock much better.
Really like what I've seen from Grant, going back to SL. I think it's obvious now that there are benefits to having a faster/skilled PG on the floor, capable of penetrating and pushing the ball, even in this system which to be honest, doesn't even appear to be 100% 'triangle' anyway. I'm seeing a mix of everything out there: pick & roll/pop, some post up, guard penetration, drive and kick, still some iso ball for Melo, and some uptempo ball esp. when the reserves are in (Grant, D-Will etc. -- I can't help but think that TA would fit in like a glove with these guys). If this is a conscious choice by Fisher, then I applaud him for thinking outside the triangle box. We have a pretty good mix of talent -- it would be a shame to not look to utilize/maximize all these players' individual strengths. Getting the most out of all these guys should be more of a priority than trying to shoehorn each guy into any system...I really like the diversity of our attack so far, esp. the uptempo approach with Grant on the floor -- it's how we've been able to get some easy baskets and open up the lead in a few of these games. Certainly helps to finally have better talent, esp. a guy like Grant who can facilitate a much quicker game. Mike D'Antoni would've loved to have had guys like Grant and D-Will when he was here..
Jerian and Sasha need to start knocking down shots more consistently though. That's true..

Grant was no steal, we had to give up THJR for him..Tim didn't fit last year's style of play because of the demands of the position..But Tim is more athletic than the two's on our squad...The book isn't written on Tim yet...
Jerian Grant is easily better than THJR, and as you said, he fits the triangle better. Therefore: Steal.

I see your point, but his IQ is too low, he is a poor shooter, terrible defender, and there was a relatively low chance he was going to show improvement anyway. Grant may not be as athletic, but he brings leadership, defense and high IQ and he is a much better triangle player as a result of his skill set;therefore, Grant is a steal for us imo.
Thjr has potential, but he has got to figure it out if he want to become a good NBA player.

Tim is a young player, how do you know he won't show improvement..Think ATL are dunces??..They are very shrewd at picking up value players about to break out...Milsap, Korver, Carrol ..Its not easy to score 20pts in this league..Tim has done that on a few occasions ..He just needs to put it all together..

So have D Leaguers called up to the NBA
All of the guys they had "picked out" that you mentioned had already established themselves as solid NBA players with a possible exception for Caroll. Luckily Tim has only had two full years in the NBA and he is going to a place with a winning environment and lots of players to help his game, but as I said the onus is on him to improve since there are no excuses.
