Knicks · The Pre-Season Should Count (page 1)

This is complete idiocy that the NBA does not count the pre-season games. We are 4-0 right now. At the end of the regular season I and every other real sports fan is going to add those four wins to the Knicks record.

Why don't they count? Starters play, all players play hard, coaches coach, refs call fouls, games are 48 minutes...these are real games. If the Knicks do not make the playoffs by four games Adam Silver is going to have to answer to a lot of questions.

I agree, pre-season should count.

But then, just so as the players can get up to speed, and the teams try out different lineups, we need a pre-pre-season.

And those games should never count.

Preseason gives teams a chance to decide on what the roster is going to look like going into the season. Preseason gives teams the opportunity to take an extended look at a player for future reference, without worrying about losing ground to other teams.

I seriously believe there should be a login named BringBackHerb

This thread and the "How Did We Let Bargs the Great Getaway?" thread should be stickied. I'm just not sure what Forum they should be in.

Not sure if there has ever been a player who heals more slowly than Bargs, or is less willing to play when he is not 100% "healthy."

Seems to me that he should have been working on building up his muscles in the offseason rather than injuring them on the Italian team.

That Bargnani thread was pretty good though.

You count the one.
The rule would be you don't count loses in pre-season. After all it is pre-season.
