He can't hit anything tonight.
He can't hit anything every night. I guess he just hit that Celtics player in the face with an elbow if you want to count that.
Melo can't buy a hoop tonight. If he even has a mildly respectable performance, New York wins this one. However, he's something like four for 20 so no chance.
great great pass by prigs
No RoLo at the end of the game. Interesting.
Porzingis's footwork seems to be improving.
11 rebounds from O'Quinn, nice.
Celtics announcers seem fascinated by Porzingis and more complimentary of his potential than I expected them to be.

Nice to hear an old schooler like Heinsohn rave about Porzingis.

Surprising (since the passing of Johnny Most) there's not a bigger Celtic homer on the planet than Heinsohn.

Not much lift in his legs in this game.

Not a good sign if he's got dead legs in the preseason.
Glad to see Calderon and KP had decent games. DWill and Early looked pretty good too. Not thrilled at all about Afflalo's hammy acting up, but at least O'Quinn's injury was just temporary. Hoping Melo's cold spell ends tonight, regardless of how Clyde feels about it hahaaaa. Next stop, regular season! 0-0!

What were Clyde's comments?

A few games ago, I think it was the Wizards game, Breen mentioned Melo's obvious hot streak with his shooting. And Clyde said he didn't like it, that he didn't want to see it this early. I understand what he meant, but it still made me scratch my head. Why would you EVER prefer to see your star scorer experiencing a cold hand. Especially at the start of the season. He HAS to understand that it's crucial for this team to start the season very competitive, win or lose.

The Afflalo injury is a bad sign for him (and the team) moving toward opening day.
Movement on offense was inconsistent..not as many open looks as you would like. Some guys also had shots which they did not take.
The energy we had against this team the last time seemed to be missing.
Player excitement over what the Mets are doing must be draining the Knicks of energy.

Shooter's superstition...don't use up those good shots when the games don't count.
Tend to think that Clyde is just fooling around with us on this.
Calederon- Reminded everyone how incredible offensively he can be. His off the ball defense was absolutely terrible today. Always losing his man off of screens or cuts.
Afflalo- His midrange shot is tough, needs to hit the open guys more though
Melo- Terrible. Was playing hard on defense but he was terrible offensively, he kept on taking those stupid contested midrange shots instead of either moving the ball or going to the rim.
KP-This guy is going to be a bucket. I like how he handled himself in tough situations and can move quickly on offense. What I really love about him is that he knows his strengths and weakneses and plays to his strengths and is improving his weakneses(marginally) every game. I really hope our fan base shows support.
Lopez- He was off today. Pretty bad on the boards and couldn't catch the ball at all today.
