Yup...definitely heading toward this^^^

If he is shooting well and holding his own, we should keep him on if not, then we shouldn't be playing him much at all. We need to get his trade value up so that we can ship him. The guy is a great shooter and has established himself as one of the better pgs in the league, but in terms of on court production, from what we have seen so far, his liabilities are starting to impact the team more negatively than it does positively.
ChuckBuck@ 10/29/2015 11:30 PM
We need Jose to self stretch provision himself so we could be done with his sorry ass.
Not even zero sum player, negative sum player causing team to call timeouts and burn through fouls and ultimately lose due to being a complete statue.
CrushAlot@ 10/29/2015 11:35 PM
Not looking forward to him facing John Wall on Saturday. At least Grant/Galloway got more minutes than the starters

We still need another guard, but I agree. You know who would be perfect to trade him for skill wise if the bumped Gallo or Grant to the starting lineup?
Lance Stephenson.
Except Lance is a complete knucklehead and would probably be arrested for murder if he played in NYC again. Though if he was a better human being it would be great to see him on that second unit running & passing & attacking.

But how do we replace him? It's easy to just cut someone, but what do you do after that? Who's the PG for the 2nd unit?

That would not be a good idea. As a matter of fact, that would be a terrible idea. Please, for your own sake, don't let this situation drive you literally crazy.

I wouldn't get rid of him, because know one will take him. Limit his minutes as much as possible,he will be the 3rd PG. Pretty clear Grant and Galloway are better players

Anyone from the D league that can move laterally as well as forward and backwards is an upgrade over this pile of dung.

Jose is playing worse than anyone on the team, even Melo. But it's too early to give up on him entirely. I hope and believe his offense will come around. He's got a pure stroke, sees the court and has a pretty good handle. He certainly will not stay as bad as he's been.
The problem is there is NO WAY he can defend quick point guards. Just can't do it. Not physically able. Like sending me or you out there to try and stay in front of these guys. So when we're playing against Teague, Wall, etc., we've gotta protect Jose and the team and not match him up against them. Limit his minutes, cross match on D, whatever it takes. That was painful watching him get destroyed off the dribble last night.

truthfully i keep hearing he will get better for the past year and it hasnt happened. Also is older now and it shows. He isnt the only one, sasha vucavic was just as bad

Teague and Shroder made everyone looks low last nite. Even Grant. That is one hell of a tandem.
Jose did not have a good game, nor did anyone in the first half except RoPez. O'quinn looked slow to react under the basket and the Zinger needed to calm down. Melo was out of synch and DWilliams was wild.
Im not pinning last nite on Jose. Melo and Jose have not played since last season and it takes time to get it back.
Jose did not lose the game last nite alone. Jose is not cockblocking us to contention. Jose salary is not a back breaker. Knicks have like 20 coaches and Phil so I gather they know whats up more than second guessing fans. We know what we see on the court but there is always more to it. Jose is not the future, that is obvious.

nobody said jose alone cost us the game. HOWEVER all the criticisms on him have been valid
ChuckBuck@ 10/30/2015 10:11 AM
Though Jerian got schooled by Teague also (he is an All Star), the layup drill he put on Calderon is just plain offensive! Not the good offensive either...
You can see the first 4 layups in that video clip are all simply on Calderon. If you can't stop a point guard just driving at will from the top of the key to the basket uncontested, the whole team suffers.
Since we're not cutting Hoe-Zay, his best shot at even sniffing the court should be as spot up 2 guard in the 2nd unit for 15 minutes a game. Move Gallo to the starting PG, since he already knows the triangle from last year, and strokes it better than Grant.
Hope Fisher makes the move sooner rather than later. Bad for team morale when opposing point guards go off for 20+ without even an ole.

Jose's minutes, not who starts is worth keeping an eye on. Who finish's tells the tale.
