Marc J. Spears: A D-League coach projected Idaho (Jazz) taking Perry Jones with 1st pick tomorrow, Westchester (Knicks) taking NY native Jimmer Fredette 2nd – via Twitter SpearsNBAYahoo
I Like the pick. Why not?
Nice. I think tomorrow is 11/1. Fredette would be great. No risk with a d league pick and the kid can shoot. I liked Kabongo also but he hasn't done much since he left Texas early.
Jimmer has had plenty of chances, with some good programmes (Bulls, Spurs). A Pelicans exec said the problem with Jimmer is he thinks he doesn't have to change anything about his game in the NBA- that he believes he was great in college and thinks he should just be given the ball and be the central figure in the offense in the nba. He has slow foot speed, can't defend, is unathletic and is essentially an undersized Sg who hasn't shown the ability to shoot the 3 in the NBA.

Makes one wonder why we picked him?
Calderon vs. Jimmer, who wins (overall)? lol
Jimmer is from Westchester. The Knicks will sell out every game. The Westchester Knicks probably take in more than the wnba franchise this year

He was shooting nba 3s in middle school.....half court 3s in college.....all of a sudden he cant shoot an nba 3?
Trade jose and make jimmer a 3rd string PG. His skills are perfect for the triangle. How much defense did steve kerr have?
We we need a 2nd string PG who distributes, defends and has speed. Jimmer as 3rd string in a Kerr role if he matures and understands his role would be great.
Calderon is more like 4th string until we can dump him
Love the idea. Jimmer should have signed here last year when he had the chance. Maybe this will satisfy the basketball gods. The kid has big talent. Maybe he needs to come home. Breathe ny air, drink the water.

Jimmer seems like the type that feeds off of the bright lights of NY. Plus hes playing for his home town, so he has more incentives to perform now. Especially after being cut. Phil has assembled a team full of players with chips on their shoulders.

^This. The real issue is he needs to learn the triangle and the D league would be perfect for him to do it.

We didn't pick him. The Thread title is misleading, it's just some other coach not with the WKnicks predicting something.

Draft is today. Fredette would be a nice addition for Westchester.
If Jimmer is ready to grow up, the triangle awaits.
19 is "Flip Murry".......This guy is still around? 36 years old.

Ronnie Brewer is available also.

And folks still want him to be a Knick? Sounds like THJ.
Knicks got Fredette. Jones went first.
