All knicks cut are on the Dleague team including Thanasis.
I saw Jordan Crawford is now rostered. Does he get honey nut cherrios?
Jimmer Mania??
Where is N'dour? Injured but is he a free agent? can he got back to Mav's? do they hold his D'league rights?
Thansis getting no love elsewhere?
Does anyone here go to the games?
as a side note, the Hornets are putting a D-league team in Greensboro, NC. They have a 21,000 seat arena but will be finishing a "Pavillion" for the with practice facilities and 2500 seating capacity. They can play in the big arena when Jordan decides to make his comeback!!!!
Can the W Knicks beat the Brooklyn Nets? Just asking.
This is a much needed thread in my opinion. I am not sure about most of the questions asked. I do think if NDour plays in the d league he probably plays for Dallas's d league team. I do wonder if the Knicks should look at giving him the 15th spot. He was Gaines's guy and last year that guy was Gallo.
Saw this in the Posting and Toasting article but is nice that the Knicks are getting credit for being clever rather than Phil being too old to do the job he has.
Are we going to see a Trice/Jimmer starting backcourt? Will the Westchester staff have the guts to bench Jimmer if Trice out plays him? Can the corpse of Jordan Crawford offer anything at this point in his career? I'm kinda excited about this group and expect them to be better than the crap that was tossed on the court last year.
I'm excited about this Westchester team. Super excited to watch Travis Trice play and develop and of course, Jimmer. Jimmer should dominate at the DL level--I'd like to see him on the parent club right now but maybe the DL experience will be good for a few games--get his confidence up before he gets a shot to jump back in the NBA. DaJuan Summers didn't look great in preseason but that dude can play. And I'm glad Thanasis is back in the fold. I think the way to go with that guy is to develop him as a SHOOTING GUARD. I still think he has a very bright future.
Here's their training camp roster:
http://westchester.dleague.nba.com/news/...Glad to see Jordan Bachynski back in the fold as well. 7'2" shot-blocking C. Nice depth piece we could possibly fall back on should anything ever happen to Lopez.

Great post. I didn't realize Bachynski was back. He played for another team in the summer leagues so I thought he was moving on. That is an interesting squad.

Yeah hopefully we won't be seeing any more SAS type rants about how Phil is stealing money, sabotaging the Knicks for the Lakers and has one foot out the door.

Really was ridiculous how over the top some fans and most of the media were being this summer after the draft and Free Agency.
Now they look silly having made so many outrageous comments.
From top to bottom this franchise is moving in a much better direction than before. Just a lot of purely basketball moves being made for now and the future. The D League team is a part of the process of making this franchise able to build sustainable quality teams going forward.
Will anyone go to the games here?

Yes, we are already looking at the schedule and trying to pick which games we will be attending this season.
I live pretty far from Westchester. It's a hike to get there, so one or two games a season is my limit. I will be watching all the televised games, but there is no substitute for being there. That little arena is a fantastic place to watch b-ball. Seats are cheap and all are right up on the action. And you see some top b-ballers. Last year we saw Galloway before he became the greatest Knick in twenty years. Also saw Ralph Sampson's son, Greek Freak's brother... Plus it is a fun atmosphere. Nothing serious, just a nice night out. And I have to say the prices for food and drink was amazing. You are not getting gouged there. They had a Nathans hot dog, fries, and drink special for just five bucks.
Go to a game, folks. It's a great night or day out. Lots of fun.

Not if you're there.

Better than Bargs?

While I go to the games, follow my team, have an interest in their D-League team, you have to ask your mommy who Bargnani is.
(And while you are at it, ask your mommy how easily you have been played. I post that Barry Larkin's kid said, "A.B. is a great player" and you are so gullible you fall for it. Hey, kid, while most here see the humor and irony that I bring to this site; you have to ask your mommy what "humor and irony" is. Have to say one of the reasons why I do what I do is to catch dopey fish like you. I've got you twitching on my line...and I love watching it. Hey, kid, Bargnani jammed home a baseline slam in Nets training camp this year. He's better than Shaq. Now run off to your mommy and tell her the news -- Bargs is better than Shaq!)

Saw the globetrotters at the County Center many years ago. I would love to go see a game. My sister lived in White Plains less than a mile from the County Center for years but isn't there anymore. If I come down I would try to go to a W Knick game and a game at msg. If you are traveling to see them there are some less expensive hotels near Elmsford that aren't nasty. I stayed there quite a bit when my sister was sick and in the hospital in the Bronx.
I'll be attending a game this year. Trying to figure it all out
Tickets are more expensive that I though it would be.
$48.65?
It's a fun little trip I guess.
EnySpree wrote:Tickets are more expensive that I though it would be. $48.65?
Yeah, that ad you see during the Knick games "tickets for as little as $10" is a bunch of crap. We found that out last year when we ended up paying $40 a ticket (very good sideline seats).
Forty bucks, fifty bucks...no matter how much fun you have, that's just stupid for a D-League game. Ever watch NBA games on League Pass when you get the home TV feeds? You should see the ads for their tickets -- Hornets $25 for a two game package. Sixers $24 for a three game package! Here in NY we get robbed with any ticket price. $48.65 to see a last place D-League team? That's insane. I suggest try StubHub on or near game day. Probably get a ticket for $20.
I would much much rather have an NFL-NY sunday sticky than this.

Wow. I haven't been in the County Center for years but I can't imagine it is that much nicer. That is a steep price for a ticket. I wonder if they are cheaper on Stub Hub.
