I'm not sure if folks here watched Seinfeld like I did but there was a classic episode where George )who worked for the yankees, down the hall from Mr Steinbrenner) ranted to the Boss about all the mistakes he made!! (Jay Buhner for Phelps. lol). well my friend who works for MSG has an office down the hall from Steve Mills and Phil Jackson. He tells me he slid a note under Phil Jackson's door about the troubles with this team (among them being Jose at PG, Fisher rotations and Polyester uniforms - the last one was a Seinfeld joke). Anyways, to his surprise, Phil responded by basically saying (Paraphrasing) "we're aware of your concerns and consider it a problem. Be patient, changes will be made soon".

Now all morning, we've been trying to figure out what that means lol:
- Affalo coming back
- Jose being bought out?
- Picking up a free agent PG (Luke Ridnour?)
- all of the above

we have no idea. it was just amusing that phil actually responded. lol

I loved when Georges father screamed at steinbrenner when he came over because he thought that George Costanza died. Classic.

That's awesome, thanks for sharing kinda eases my mind about my nightmares of Jose starting the rest of the year . I wonder if we do end up buying Jose out... I also wonder if Phil is coaching fisher and trying to get him to settle on a stable rotation.

Egyptian cotton...it breaths, wicks away moisture, and it should help our endurance during the game.

...Just have to make sure that it is pre-shrunk.

I do really appreciate you sharing this, but I do worry about you getting your friend in trouble- when you mention him, he must be very easily identifiable to MSG, and Phil has said in the past that he doesn't take too kindly to his trustees talking.

I was riding a bus on the upper west side in the late 80s, and when the bus got to Lincoln Center, I saw Michael Richards talking to a couple, he was dressed exactly like Kramer, no one was filming, thought it was very odd.

Loved that show, Curb your Enthusiasm too, and Ive seen the first season of Veep, and that is funnier than I thought it would be. Its like Elaine becoming vice president.

Wow, thank goodness for the note. Im sure mills or phil and the legion of coach's with rings in their safes had no idea of the back court problems!!!!

i appreciate your concern. yeah im always nervous when i share too. hes not allowed to comment on facebook or any media. hes on lockdown! but theres a million people who work with him and theyre all knicks fan. hard to identify. i was going to post his picture (at that impromptu press conference for the employees with phil), just to show that i wasnt making this up...but yeah that would get him in trouble.

Why not this is the best knick board in the country ... I know there's beat writers all over this board stealing ideas from our topics as well as belonging to this board ... So why wouldn't one of us know someone who works in the front office of the Knicks?

Please don't when it comes to Jose, lol I know it's important to keep your sources identity a secret but it's nice to know that the front office has the same concerns as us which fill up 90 % of the topics on this board

your friend should throw notes under Phils door more often and please keep us informed lol it's awesome you have a inside source

If placed there anonymously, how would Jackson have addressed it and would he have had any respect for an anonymously-written note under his door to address it at all?

If signed by a note under the door? Why not an email or a knock and say it in person?

Did Jackson tell this person in confidence and this person's job is now threatened?

Did Jackson call the staff together and reveal to a group of staffers what could then get to the press and the team itself.

Sorry, this story strain credibility.

The premise it was a joke, but it isn't much one.

That Jackson didn't get it.

The missing info was how he responded.

And the premise is Jackson didn't care if the info made it into the locker room, where it could cause uncertainly and anxiety.

This has the makings of the sort of story people believe because they want it to be true.

Just doesn't seem like the real world.

lol. ill stop then. a lot of doubters - and that wasnt the point of the post. besides these story dont add much info anyway. the organization under phil is very tight lipped so even the close guys dont even know much. anything my friend knows, most like we all know.

i have no incentive to make this stuff up. why? to prove something to a bunch of fans i dont know. i dont post that much where i demand attention or glory or whatever. its all good. im not offended in any way at all. i get it.

just know the organization is run in a better more organized way than the old days. they have scouts all over the planet. all the guys are "basketball" guys even mills. and dolan is a very very very cool person who is very philanthropic with giving away old MSG memorabilia. lol
