Clarkson Kobe Williams and Russell are going to kill our guard play. Actually I hope they do so change will take place.
They will burn Jose for sure. Sasha is probably not going to help much.
Grant and Gallo though, will hold their own (considering their age.)
Luckily we are running a bit of triangle, so we don't have to depend too much on our guards (but I'd like to see defense out of the starters, heck, offense too.)
I could see grant and Gallo owning Russell and clarkson
And I could see Sasha and Jose getting owned by them

When you lose 3 in row you make a change. Right now its on Fischer to shake things up and on Phil to get find another guard. Jose should have been waived and still should be

I think the first change will be Afflalo moving into the starting lineup the game after Sunday. I think Phil/Fish can't be as reactionary as fans despite how bad Jose has played. I wonder if they sign someone before ten day contracts. I think Green is a better option than Jimmer/Trice.

Crush I don't think it's reactionary. Calderon is a guy who might be able to play a prigioni role on a very good team as a 5 th guard. He's starting for us which was a mistake from the beginning. Right now Calderon assest to us is his roster spot and the nearly 4 mm we can save for next year to waive and stretch his contract. They also gave Sasha a role that is over his head. He plays with confidential e but hes a guy who despite some good size and smarts just don't as skilled in a game that he n3ds to be. He's really a14-15 the guy and that's why he hasn't been in the NBA. We just did not evaluate those players well. Now it's time to cut bait before a momentum of losing starts to take place which could make the season unpleasant rather qui kly

Honestly, an empty pair of sneakers would torch our starting backcourt

I think that I read that they start in December.
I don't think Calderon is going to the bench yet. They are going to give him a chance to play with Affalo. They probably want to ou him in position to succeed as the orchestrator but it won't happen. It won't be long before he is replaced by Grant though. I give it another 2 games after the Laker game

I think it's reactionary. Calderon has proven to have fallen off, so soon you will see change. Sasha was never meant to start, right?
Now I guess you could argue that one or both of Grant and Gallo should have started for the season? Is that reasonable? That's a lot to ask, especially Grant who looks lost a times against second unit guys.

Erick Green.
Erick Green is another Galloway minus the defense. He would definitely be an upgrade over Calderon

Perfect world, I wish Green was a tad more athletic with a little better game going to basket but beggars can't be choosers I guess, right? What he is though is a solid shooter/straight up shot maker. Led the country in scoring his senior yr. at VA Tech. That's quite an accomplishment. Galloway's a pretty good comparison -- probably an even better offensive player than Galloway but not as good a defender. Adequate ball-handler and I think he can move the ball and make plays for others as well. Let's give him a shot. He's got some smoothness to him on the offensive side. He could be a good rotation guard here as a shot maker/adequate enough playmaker. I'd pounce on this guy right now if I were Phil.

I actually don't mind Phil being a little patient in regard to picking up a guard. Time can reveal more info about all of the guards out there. Someone might present themselves that we don't yet see who could be even better.

Reactionary? Have you watched how both sasha and jose have cost us at least 2 games so far. Its not reactionary its the truth. I love the team EXCEPT our starting backcourt which has been given plenty of chances but cant cut it

Yeah. I want them out. But someone posted on twitter that Calderon used to be automatic from many of the shots he is missing and it was just a reminder as to why the Knicks traded for him. If he starts making his shot again he becomes a lot more valuable to the team. But yeah I have been bashing them quite a bit. I just think fans can react but coaches/gms have to let the dust settle a little sometimes.
I'm looking forward to seeing Grant go up against Russell and proving that he's the better guard. Bring it on!
