I hate "scorers". I really do. Especially "pure scorers".

Just politically correct names for ball hogs.

I don't think making him more of a focal point on offense means forcing more shots ... The kid is a super athletic 7'3" PF he's towering over his opponent and can with ease pass over him or shoot"with out forcing it" his size alone demands the attention of the entire defense. Running a offense through him would open up the rest of the team on offense kinda like how Tim Duncan opens up the floor for the rest of his teammates. And pop didn't figure that out till David Robinson retired after beating the Knicks in the championship... That's how talented KP is .

Also running our offense through kp. would get KP to the line at least 10 times a game ...that's a 80% free throw shooter going to the line that many times a game and that is a game changer.

Would you call Tim Duncan a scorer who forces up shots. No . But he sure touches the ball on offense pretty much every time down the court. Cause he demands the attention of the entire defense.

Carmelo Anthony is a pure scorer like jerry stackhouse you don't run a entire offense through jerry stackhouse and you shouldn't run a entire offense through a Carmelo Anthony he can not open up the offense for the rest of the team like a Tim Duncan or a KP can.
