I think O'Quinn is definitely the 3rd big.

I don't have an issue playing Amundson some - though I agree with those saying he's not great on defense. Don't get me wrong, he hustles a lot and tries his best, but he often just gets flat out beat on defense.

I think he's good as an energy spark type guy - I would never play him more than like ten minutes a night though, unless there's an injury.

He does understand the Triangle, which is huge.

Good point .. Amundson experience should be in the starting lineup with Lopez & Melo, receiving 12 to 10 minute a playintime a night, bc we have big man depth.
We should not have a rookie starting or finishing a game, we are the expensive Knicks who can afford to always be over the cap. The NBA league are water-down enough from so many small-market teams starting rookies n d.league players, plus every NBA big man wanting to be like Steph Curry n shoot 3 balls all night.

Ok ... that post got me needing a nap.

What part got u sleepy .. we play the Cavs on Friday, the Cavs 3 bigs are Mozgov, Love, and Tristan, beside Lebron crashing the board, what first 3 bigs do we have to match up?

Lou does not have the defensive talent to force opponents to change their shot selection when slashing to the hoop.
Fisher .. taking Lopez out the game to replace him with Lou, then taking Quinn out the game to replace him Lou is one of the reason the Knicks lost to the Hornets. Poor coaching by not knowing what Lou brings to the team. The Hornets scored 40 pts from inside scoring, we only scored 28 pts from inside

Lou brings hustle, team defense, and also knows where to be in the triangle. He is not a 1-on-1 stopper but a solid'ish defender. Great help defender. Great motor. Never stops the ball in the triangle. Never does anything outside of his wheelhouse.

Lou is the guy both Seraphin and DWill should be emulating. And I gotta guess it's the reason he is getting minutes over both of those guys even though he is much less talented. He's the carrot stick for both of those guy's playing time.

Excellent points. This is what some just don't understand. The reason why Fish and Phil loved to have LT and LA back is because they may not be the most talented guys but they are models of HOW everyone should play. They execute the offense and defense and always give MAX EFFORT. They are selfless players but they are aware of their limitations. If DWill and Seraphin played just like LT and LA they would be stars!!!

Admunson was horrible today..4 times in the first half he left his man to double another and got beat..Please watch the first half when he was inserted again..

Amundson hustles, but he is not a good team defender.

From my POV it looked like he got confused by switches, which to me is team defense. But yeah, he was not good today.

I like the way both Lou & Lance run the triangle, but we can't play both regularly - they're high iq, low talent guys that can be exploited/exposed.

To me, they're glue guys, and you can have too many!
