We mightve caught him on the beginning of the downside of his career. We paid 14mm for what? Hes got to step up and be more consistent and give more to the team. This team is winning with defense and some smoke and mirrors on offense.

RoLo is getting paid a fair salary for what he brings to the team. This is a team that has made a quantum leap in terms of defense this year and he's part of that improvement.
The last two games the Knicks have looked best when they've gone small - three guards and Melo at the 4 and either KP or Seraphin at the 5.
I'd be curious to see 3 guards, Melo, Rolo at the 5.
I think Rolo has been good and against certain teams he will be valuable.
I think we definitely overpaid - but not by much and with the cap going up, it will be even less of an overpay.
Yea Lopez is going to have games like tonight he's a more talented Lou with a mid range shot which he has to utilize more
If anything we can mix and match up lineups.
RoLo will be needed against the bigger teams, and when we go small KP will play center.
Unlike past years, we have options and can play big or small. Having RoLo, no matter his cost, is a good luxury to have.
Lopez worth is not all in the numbers
Also, Lopez is putting up pretty much the exact same numbers he put up for Portland last year. Though he is averaging a full assist more in this offense. His shooting percentage is down and offensive rebounding down (maybe due to KP and Melo being so active on the offensive boards?)
2014-5 Portland - 28mpg 9.6ppg 6.7rpg 1.4blk 1assist
2015-6 New York - 25mpg 8.5ppg 5.9rpb 1.3blk 2assist
I think the Knicks are getting pretty much what they paid for and what you'd expect. I didn't expect him to come in here and put up bigger numbers than he did in Portland. Melo and KP both average over 8rebs, there aren't gonna be a lot of rebounds left for Lopez and as has been mentioned he boxes out for others to get more rebounds.
Anyway, I'm not disappointed in Rolo at all so far.
I'm pretty sure the Knicks have won the rebounding battle in almost every game they've played and it feels like RLopez boxing out and throwing bodies around in the paint is a big part of that.
He won't be a big stats guy. He does the little things. I think he's playing just fine.

Lopez and Calderon are dead money..Lopez doesn't play in the 4th or crunch time..A complete waste of 20 mil per..Every point that Calderon scores he gives up two on the other end..

Monroe, 1 for 6 with 4 points tonight in 25 minutes and his usual horrific defense as the bucks get blown to the moon by washington. WAS A TEAM WORST -26!!!

I actually hate the way the knicks are using Rolo in the triangle, they having him take really low pct shots (for him). His picks and his defense as well as his leadership is/are priceless.
