Yeah gbinjie Dunn Valentine and hield are going to buck the trend as seniors will move up into rd 1 and all may go lottery. I always try to learn and if you look at the nba right now you look at guys who are athletic play hard good size shoot 40%++ from 3 rebound and play d. Gary Payton hasn't shot the ball well but he's been incredible everywhere else however I'd stick to the players who can shoot the 3
im not sure about valentine. hes not explosive or super athletic. i think hes one of those nice ncaa players who plays the game in a smart way. but then again i thought the same thing about draymond green and hes a star
Gbinije has improved thru out the yrs. he started his career as a slasher. now hes a well rounded player who can defend, shoot and still slash. not sure if hes a passer but he might have a nice shot at the next level
callmened@ 11/29/2015 6:31 PM
Kris dunn. I'm not saying he's the same but he reminds me of a young Georgetown iverson (black #3, his steals, swagger and even how he dribbles). Except that he's a 6-5 combo guard. maybe bradley beal is a better comparison. Lottery pick for sure.

Melo Trimble has such fantastic potential to be a bucket in the NBA. Can score in many ways. Has some really nice athleticsm. and is a great passer of the ball. Would fit the triangle like a glove as a scorer. Really annoying we don't have a pick this year. Oh well, I watched Grant all of last year and thought we had no chance of getting him, but Phill worked his magic and got him.

14 pts(8 shots) and 11 asts right now
TPercy@ 12/1/2015 10:58 PM
Watching Maryland play reminds me of how badly the Knicks need to start getting easy buckets off of fast breaks

Simmons with 43 and 14. yikes
BRIGGS@ 12/3/2015 9:27 AM
I dont think the draft much past the top few slots is that great this year. Really focusing on guards---Im looking on guys who are athletic on the nBA level who can shoot and have well rounded games. Im focusing on pick 40 and down through undrafted

Yeah he does need to work on taking care of the ball more, but that guy has got great potential ahead of him.

Here's a second round prospect who is off most people's radar. Jack Gibbs, probably Davidson's highest rated recruit ever (Curry was a two star guy, Gibbs was three star). Gibbs was the #1 PG in Ohio his junior year in HS but was injured his senior year, somewhat under-recruited, and landed at Davidson. He had a few injuries his freshman and sophomore years at Davidson but he's played well, and played better against better competition, when he's played. He's a junior this year and he's having a pretty solid year, averaging 25 points and maybe 5 assists and leading a winning team. He's short, maybe 5'11', but he's quick, smart, strong, hardworking, and like Curry can go to the basket or drop 3s. I don't think he'll make into the first round next year but he's gotten better with every game he's played in college and, barring injury, I suspect he's going to end up on someone's NBA roster for at least a couple years, drafted or not. He scored 41 (14/17 FG, 6/7 3s,7/9 FT)in front of Curry the other day:

The main guys Im looking at for rd 2 so far are Forwards Jameel Warney Stony Brook (most under rated player in nation) DEnzel Valentine Mich State Kyle Wiltjer F Gonzaga Michael Gbinije Syracuse Zeek Woodley G Northwestern State Rodney Purvis G Uconn
I havent seen as many teams yet this year and I havent seen Woodley play this year--I saw him play against Arkansas last year. Ive already seen the other 5 multiple times and like all 5 especially Valentine and Gbinjie. Id probably take Valentine with a low lottery pick but so far he is not prognosticated to go that high.

We were 1 year off on the Notre Dame PG---Jackson is the real deal

wheres dragan bender - the croatian big man playing in israel - on this list? to me hes a top 5 pick. also i think jamal murray is WAY too low on your list BRIGGS. all of this is way too early since they havent started conference play. looks like its gonna be a weak draft though. but ill list my top 10. in my opinion, heres the top 10 that i have seen:
1. ben simmons - lefty 6-10 PG who cant shoot 2. Branden Ingram - 6-10 KD wannabe clone 3. Jamal Murray - 6-4 PG tank 4. Dragan Bender - 7-1 KP clone 5. Jaylen Brown - athletic SF from Cal 6. Kris Dunn - nice 6-4 athlete playmaker 7. Skal Labassiere - horrible season so far but scouts will drool at his potential 8. D. Sabonis - do it all big man 9. J. Poetl - huge big man with skills 10. D. Jackson - ultra quick PG

Shameless plug forthcoming and slightly off topic...
Living in Oklahoma (low population, oil wells, cows, chickens, tornadoes and the middle of flyover country) with top five teams in both college football and basketball (admittedly with a long way to go) is pretty decent.
BRIGGS@ 12/15/2015 5:29 AM
Senior Sleeper Josh Adams
Has some John Starks in his game
BRIGGS@ 12/15/2015 8:38 AM
Im kind of on the Marcus Paige bandwagon for the Knicks. He has the things in his game that we dont have from the PG. Hes got incredible body control he controls the dribble hes got a beautiful shot--hes a very nice passer good driver. Hes going to be discounted. I dont know how much we can get into the draft??? but if players stay down so to speak because of senioritis Id be interested in Gbinjie David Walker Valentine Paige and Adams(all seniors) Can we pick up a late 1 early 2 again? well have to see.

From what I have seen from Paige he looks like a really great shooter and passer. His defense is a bit shaky don't you think?
His athleticism and how that translates into the NBA is questionable though...

Hes got awesome body control. I like the form on his shot I like the way he sees the floor--he might be better in the NBA than he is in college. The only thing you can question is the body weight. We need to rebuild the guard corp.
If we were able to get Tyler Johnson Paige and Walker(lets say 2 2's) I think thats a doable goal.
