OK, that's not exactly correct but I generally stay far away from guys with more shots than points. It's almost unheard of for an NBA player to fit that description. Throw in his attitude issues and that makes him even more undesirable.

Rookie, you need to do more reading about Rondo and think thru why he succeeded in Boston as he did, why Ainge had a hard time trading him for a few years and perhaps now seeing his low value on free agency this past summer kind of validates it.

In fact, I'd only even consider Rondo if SAC gave us a 1st round pick with Rondo for Clearathony Early. That's it.

Dallas last year is a big red X on him that will take a lot more than 15 games to get rid of.

Lin has passed the eye test when we played against him but still not sure that he is nearly as good as he looked against our guards.

I like hit at the price charlotte paid for him too.

Rondo is a cancer and we did a great job adding team guys and everyone is benefiting. We would be much better served waiting till the offseason using the stretch provision on Jose and bringing in a guy like mike Conley. Leader, good lockeroom guy and fits into what the team needs.

Lin was a no brainer for assurance and would have been nice to get open shots for our second unit.

Phil screwed up not signing Lin for cheap.

if there was bad blood between him and melo then it was smart not to sign him. We need a cohesive unit.

We had a good stretch where the team was hitting 3 pt'ers very timely to maintain leads. Other then that, the offense has been stagnant when the opposing team makes adjustments after the half and tightens up their defense. On the plus side, our defense has been good, except for Calderon who is a liability on that end of the court.

As far as Calderon's improved play, I guess we have low standards regarding production from the PG position. Calderon averages 7.2 PPG, 3.4 APG and 2.2 RPG. While he has been shooting a high percentage his assist nubers suck for a PG who isn't scoring and his defense is beyond non existant.

I do not think we will continue to play above .500 going forward. Rondo's imaturity asside, he is a better PG and would fit this team and contribute to wins. First off, Everyone would benefit from easy baskets because Rondo makes those passes. He has great court vision and gets defenses out of position. Having a PG who can get 10+ assists a night is an upgrade. Having a PG who is also a good rebounder and defender again, are upgrades over Calderon. Rondo also has more playoff experience then Calderon who's teams seldom make the playoffs.

All that said, Rondo is probably not a triangle guy, but then again, I am not a big fan of the way we are running the triangle. We run the same sets over and over. it is very predictable. While it is supposed to get players easier open shots, it doesn't and as teams learn our predictable sets, they are shutting us down.

And why are we struggling to contend this season? We arent winning the championship so why mortgage the future? Wild gambles like this should _only_ be done when you have a legit shot at making and winning the finals.

Knicks best offensive quarter over the first 15 games has been the 3rd, by a significant margin.
