Our offensive scheme is much Maligned; It is too old when Calderon runs it

but we have no one better to run it.
Calderon for Ty Lawson? Yes?

Knicks need someone with a huge contract to organize player only meetings?
clyderules wrote:Calderon for Ty Lawson? Yes?
No. Just send Calderon to the second unit and play him strictly as a SG/SF. He is too slow and play no defense

I heard that player maybe sitting out so that he can save himself for the all star game.
Vmart wrote:Melo needs to go. He has become an easy guard for opposing teams. Brings very little to the table bad shooting poor ball handling no movement without the ball. I don't hate Melo he is what he is good player but no superstar. Down side of career. Time is now to strike a deal. Dolan has his ticket seller in KP. Phil needs to can Fisher not coaching material first choice was the correct one.
And people call me a Hater and plague on this board!
Guess I'm not the only true objective Knicks fan that sees things this way.

Just look at the team's we've played and it's chock full of playoff teams. Gotta expect this team isn't going to function perfectly.Hopefully they win the games they should win and in the end they have a good year. 8-9 isn't horrible given our schedule IMO.
Every year is year one of the rebuild since 2001.
You really gonna post some dumb ish like this given the Knicks just changed most of their roster and drafted 2 first round players? If this is all you're gonna add you should just stay silent!
The Knicks turnover most of their roster every year.
Fact. To some, that gives them an excuse for a pass every year as they need time to gel.
How many coaches have they had in 15 years. That's an excuse too, isn't it?
Let me know if I've missed any:
Cheney
Wilkins
Brown
Thomas
D'Antoni
Woodson
Fisher
= 7 = On average, a new coach every other year. It's the MO of this organization, keep churning to raise hopes and keep the masses interested. I like the KP pick, but the rest of the moves this summer were lackluster, and this team is nothing special, no matter how long you give it to gel. The PG situation is deplorable (laughable that people were calling Grant to start after 3 games) and after MElo there isn't a better than average veteran starter on the whole team. $14M to Rolo was the latest stupid contract in a never ending list of stupid contracts.
You don't like the truth, too bad. I don't have to stay silent because you're in denial. You can't handle the truth.

When we were playing really good which was up until Melo stepped on that refs foot there was plenty of people posting about what a great job Phil did with this roster and i was definitely one of them.
Not exactly, neeyorker4ever. Not everyone
I think they'll be better after the all-star break and finish in the 35 win range. It was always a reasonable number for a team like this. The big surprise has been Porzingis the way he played, I think changed the expectations. We went from a 30 win team with likely thinking KP was a 20 minutes a night backup, to a team that was pushing for the playoffs. And then we had Melo play like a near Lebron James 22/9/6 level for a few weeks. Once Melo rolled his ankle, the team has never been the same nor has Melo. It's been downhill since. So we needed like perfect health from Melo to finish the season the way we were looking like a month ago and didn't get that. Melo has shot 38.5 percent and scored 19 points in his last 10 games. That's not going to get it done. Not with a team like ours, where we need him to play at a MVP level for us to be as good as we were a month ago.
In the end, if you look at it from where we thought we were at season's start, we are doing better than expected. Porzingis is way ahead of where we thought he'd be. We've got some nice support role players that fit in to Porzingis's age and can be here for a few years (Lopez, Williams, Thomas, Gallo) (Maybe Grant but he has to get a ton better).
The killer is losing the picks both this year and in 2014, but that's not something this current Knicks regime could do anything about. Phil didn't trade for Melo or Bargnani. It is what it is.
Wow, I might be the only one that knew this roster was dookie. Cant believe what I just re-read. You guys would defend Satan if he wore a Knicks uniform....lol.
I think it's going to be closer to 33, which would be overachieving relative to nearly all preseason predictions (excluding those made by fans).

33 was my prediction throughout
