Melo sits and our defense looks like sh1t!
clyderules wrote:So after that would you trade Calderon for Ty Lawson as rumored?
of course! is that on the table? We need a drunk to drive our offense.
I also can't believe we turned the ball over so many phuckin times. And against the ROCKETS!

Grant is going to be playing a lot more if his shot is falling. Looks much more confident on offense the past 2 games.Calderon's issue is usually D...if he is not shooting well or protecting the ball he probably has no place on the court, unfortunately.
38 minutes for him- a bit of a stretch at this point in his career.
Those 11+ minutes sure makes me think that Fisher is going to give him minutes.

they force a lot of turnovers.
mreinman wrote:knickscity wrote:How do you shoot 58% from the field and lose? Only the Knicks can accomplish such feats.
sh1tty defense.
honestly it was turnovers and deciding to not pursue the boards. You know how I feel about their defense. No need for me to wake that up again.
Beverley was a difference maker for them. Nothing on offense, but he is pretty tenacious on D.
Very lucky bounce off the rim on that Thornton 3 near the end of regulation time, and there was that one shot that Ariza took which went in and was pure luck.
Not much you can do, sometimes.
They continue to miss KP when we are coming down the court. Pretty sure he was in the lane with nobody within 6 feet of him twice and nobody seemed to see him.
He actually tries to get early position at times, and our ball handlers don't seem to understand the benefit of dumping it in when he has some space.

they really do. Maybe they are too busy trying to set up the damn triangle.

Just the tweet about it from the ESPN guy about it.

Lmfao. Yah see the difference when you have a PG like Beverly that can harass the ball handler and also make shots???
H1AND1 wrote:clyderules wrote:Have you ever seen Fish draw up a play that looked good?
No. It's seems like a horrible shot over 4 defenders each time.
This isn't really true but if it makes people feel good to think that then go with it! Most teams have a player that can be trusted to be given a clear out and create something for his teammates or himself but we don't have that player.
Defenses won't just let you get what you want so that's why you see teams give the ball to their best breakdown guard. We have to hope Jerian will develop into that player but right now Fish doesn't yet trust he can do it. Soon he will have to let him try.

I hate Lawson.....he is not a PG

We shot 58% though.
yeah ... tough call. Bring him back and we hold other teams to fewer points or keep in on the bench and get great ball movement.

Why are you all surprised???? This is typical a fisher coach team has looked since this dude has been our coach.

I don't like Lawson but at this point Phil has to be thinking about some help at PG. I don't think Jerian is ready and Jose just can't do it. The problem is that it would have to be a vet who could be trusted to close games.

Ball movement look similar. Probably more Iso than normal. It just looks different when Afflalo goes 13-19 or so and Seraphin has a good shooting game.

I agree about Beverly. He really sets the tone when he is on the floor. Also, are there two less like able stars than Harden/Howard.

Hopefully there will be a gradual changing of the guard (no pun intended). Grant will get his time if he deserves it.
Did seem to me that he should have played more minutes tonight.
