TS = 60!

(touch under) 20 points 12 rebounds in only 34 minutes per game.

Shooting 40% from 3 taking 7 a game!

WS48 of 213 which is fabulous and elite.

Very few mid range shots and 46% of his shots are 3's. He is perfect for Lebron.

Cleveland seems to be running a smart offense taking smart shots. GS and cleveland really stay away from the mid range shots.

I think that its important for KP to have a mid range game but we really need guards or players that can penetrate so that he can be a modern stretch 4 and cause heavy mismatches. KP can't get an open 3 because we don't have anyone who can create one for him now.

We can really learn a lot from cleveland and GS.

Can we learn anything from San Antonio? They look pretty good with their slow offense, long 2s and they dont have one of the two best players in the league

San Antonio has 2 stars who can't shoot the 3 and that shoot at an abnormal level (like wade) from the mid range. Hard to build to this mold.

equally hard to build to a mold that is built around Lebron or Curry, not only the two best players in the league but perhaps two of the most unique to ever play the game. I mean Lebron is Magic on roids and Curry is the best shooter to ever play the game.

In any case very nice to see Love's #s vs. KP.

Does SA shoot more mid range shots than the average team? I'm interested in the data on that.

yes. About 10% more. Mostly because Duncan and Parker can't shoot the 3.

Good find. Their offense is OK (nowhere near GSW) but they're mostly winning because their defense is top of the league.
and when you control the boards and slow the pace 33% from three sure as hell does NOT equal 50% from two

Interesting. SAS is also 19th in the league in points per game, though their offensive rating is slightly above the league average. Teams would be better off trying to emulate GSW's shot selection than SAS's.

And if you're controlling the boards, then wouldn't 33% of 3s actually be better than 50% of 2s?

and the league avg of 35% of 3's vs. 40% of shots made between 10-23 feet? Really can't believe that there are holdovers that will fight to the death in arguing that long 2's are still perhaps good initial shots.

This is my lasting memory of KLove for the remainder of the season:
