Really long so take your time reading it. Zach Lowe goes into the promise of KP, the decline and hypothetical potential trading partners for Melo to fully transition to building around Porzingis, the improvement on Knicks D from last season especially against the 3 ball, questions whether they should stick to the triangle or embrace the 3ball\speed small ball lineups the rest of league is gravitating to, and brief mentions into building the team further using free agency. Video clips with examples of the improved D and struggles running the triangle.

Really excellent article, ChuckBuck approved.

I love KP, but sick and tired of all the fanfares he is receiving; specifically, from the press. They are so lazy to try to write about a real story; they are burning the hell out of this kid's name to garner attention. There is so much to dissect when it comes to the Knicks, why not concentrate on that and let the kid grow and make mistakes?

What? The article literally does not do any of that nor is it solely about Porzingis. Might want to read the article before commenting!

This current knick squad is falling right into last yrs knick squad. This triangle system is built for bigs who can really pass the ball, bigs like Divac, Sabonis, shaq, pau. Lopez, seraphin, KP, KOQ, are not even remotely in the same boat.

In damn near every game thread I point out how horrible the spacing is a times, it results in poor shot selection and turnovers. By the 4th quarter, your game plan has been fully recognize by your opponent, and the knicks coaching staff insist on running it no matter what, never mind that you have made 2 points in the last 7 minute , and you continue to run the same exact play or some variation of it as if you were fooling anyone.

Fisher and his staffs idea of adjustments is swapping players without changing strategy. You sub a slow player like calderon for a fast player like grant, and still play slow.

They say the want to run more and play fast, but I never see it. What I see mostly is players coming down the court and trying to run the triangle, and when the defense counters, were completely discombobulated, they start looking for melo, or jacking up bad mid range shots.

The dude is 10xs better than anyone could have imagine, and he's playing in a massive media market. Like chuck said the article is about the state of the knicks from top to bottom, current and future.

im a BIG TIME Zach Lowe fan. he usually spends his time laughing at the knicks so for him to write something positive means we might actually be good.

a couple of thoughts:
- triangle offense is archic and not using KP properly
- he and Lopez would compliment each other like dirk and tyson did if they simply ran PNRs with KP spotting up and Lopez diving on PNRs
- he acted like bill simmons for a second by listing all of these trades with melo that will NEVER happen
- having Melo at age 31 and KP at 20 is a HUGE gap
- lastly he also mentioned B level free agents at PG like BJennings (i still have a bad feeling hes coming here) lol
