how about if we trade him for very very little (or nothing) just to get him off our cap so that we can sign a star?

Lot of wisdom here ^

He's definitely been affected by the injury. Question is will he get better w recovery or is this as good as it gets. I think he should have managed minutes etc as you suggest. I think it will only help him play w more urgency

There's also a chicken and egg problem. If knicks start winning melo will get better

Right now almost everyone on the team is playing super tight/ pressing

I just think he needs to grow up as a head coach, he's not smart in some ways. Plenty of establish head coaches will call out there player especially when asked directly about them.

Even though Melo isn't playing up to par consistently, he has 10 other players playing the same way.

He should have said something in the lines of " I GOTTA GET THIS GUYS TO PLAY WITH MORE ENERGY AND EFFORT AND PUT THEM IN A POSITION TO MAXIMIZE THERE SKILLS"

Fisher has in own flaws that he needs to work on big time before he starts mouthing off about someones effort. Seems like he doesn't put enough effort in his own responsibilities, like preparation, scouting, rotations, in game adjustments.

I thought Fisher would improve somewhat from last year, but it doesn't seem like his learning curve as head coach is going the right direction. It's like he's plateaued already or actually declining from his work from last season:

Holly shiiiiiiiiiit, this is the exact thing I was thinking all along, he coaches like this it's a d league squad, or a bunch of rookies. Which explains why he looks so good in SL.

When I hear him in practices, and the sound bites in the huddle, it reminds of a role player who's a solid leader/speech giver during a big game or moment.

But you have to think that his staff is just as in ept. Doc rivers was the same way before he got to boston and Tom Thibs joined his staff and did all the preparation, rotations and defensive schemes.
