I understand the play they threw up. They basically drew Cousins away from the basket and put the ball in Melo's hands and let him go out there and try to win it. With how bad the other guys were shooting on the plays where Melo passed, I can't say that I don't get it.
Good effort, but it's still disjointed offensively because the Knicks just don't have good talent on the perimeter, but that's something we knew coming into the year...

This team isn't close to operating at their best. We simply don't have enough quality guard play to make things easier for everyone.
If Phil can get just a little more scoring help, this team will be in good shape. They need an infusion of scoring talent to get over the top. I believe Phil will add some help at some point soon.
Might have used Anthony as a decoy...Let Calderon bring the ball up (Maybe even Sasha-who is quicker) and pass off, perhaps.

If I were Fisher . . . I wouldn't run another end of game play for Carmelo for the rest of the season.
It reinforces too many habits that Knicks want to get away from.

If we had a GOOD breakdown PG who was dependable you could let him create and open things up for MELO or someone else. This is the missing link. Jerian isn't ready but we can't rely on Jose to break down a D.

Melo is obviously going to get fouled, so what is the likelhood of them calling it?
Ball clearly should have been in KPs hands..
Melo had Calderon wide open on the wing and KP wide open underneath for that last shot. I think he would've been more likely to get the foul call passing than shooting a wild off balance three. Can't expect the refs to bail you out from 27ft away from the hoop.
I think something is up with Melo's knee though. He missed what five free throws and air balled a 15ft jumper from the wing that is usually a layup for him.

of course that is a big problem but there are many problems.
Love that they are getting further and further away from the triangle. The less they run it the better they look.
