of course that is a big problem but there are many problems.
Love that they are getting further and further away from the triangle. The less they run it the better they look.
They didn't go away from the Triangle! You really don't know what you're looking at. It's clear to me that you don't understand the Triangle. Just cuz they pushed the ball and got some easier buckets doesn't mean they weren't running the Triangle.
they ran pNr almost exclusively.
So now you will say that PnR is the damn triangle.
Everything is the triangle?
The Melo/KP pick and roll at the top of the key was an actual good adjustment by Fisher. And definitely not the Triangle.
Another one who doesn't know WTF they're talking about. PnR is a play. The Triangle is an entire system. PnR, Drag Screens, Give n Go are all part of the Triangle SYSTEM. They just don't live on PnR.
If the PnR is part of the Triangle they should use it more so their offense sucks less.
That's a different argument. I have no problem with using more screens!!! I've been calling for more PnR all year. More screens of all kinds.
crzymdups wrote:mreinman wrote:TPercy wrote:mreinman wrote:TPercy wrote:Does anyone else notice that KP sets half ass screens?yes. His screens need lots of work but also, our PG don't have a clue how to use a pick especially Gallo. No clue at all. He never leads his defender into the pick.
I agree.you know who would actually be money in screens and roll...Grant. Grant may be going through a rough patch, but if we can at least run plays that play into his speciality then it would be fantastic for the team.don't agree there. Grant can't shoot at all so the defender would give him zero respect.
The thing is Grant can shoot. His confidence is just gone.
no he can't. Maybe you are talking about his brother or uncle?
crzymdups wrote:skoonix wrote:Yeah he missed the Technical FT last night as well.Calderon is one of the best FT shooters of all time. The fact that Melo doesn't let him shoot it is absurd.
Ya think?
Yet the melo defender blind-ies will argue this to death

you don't know what you were watching!! that was the modified PnR triangle! Its all triangles!
Make jokes but you are only proving your ignorance on this subject! If you want to go into a debate on the Triangle lets make a thread were you can break it all down for us.
you win ... don't give a sh1t about the triangle.
what I can tell you is that I was to see PnR exclusively. Anything else is stupid at this point and aint working.
Yes lets play triangle fuk-play and see what rolo can create? Please .... no more! Modern offense / Pnr pnr pnr pnr pnr
If they played pick and roll with Melo and KP they'd both live at the free throw line and we'd get tons of wide open threes in the corners. Sigh.

Well he could shoot in college. I saw him do it many times.

There's no reason not to have more PnR, Drag Screens, Down Screens etc. I agree with you on that but it's not the fault of the Triangle Offense that they aren't doing it more. It's all part of the offense already!!!

one thing that came out of tonight is that KP can no longer just be a decoy. They are going to have to get him the damn ball. The first half was so blatantly horrible that they went to him a lot in the second half.
maybe CB is right. Melo's main job should be creating for KP. Primary melo needs to be taken out back and laid to rest and secondary melo needs to be born.
TeamBall wrote:TPercy wrote:Nevermind. That was Melos fault aswell. KP was wide open under the basket
Yep.
This should be made into a poster and hung from the Garden and in the Knicks lockeroom. SMDH!

so who is calling for all those other effin stupid plays? Is rolo calling these plays?
please please don't tell me that you blame the players for this ... its a non starter.

It was not a good idea by Carmelo, but as a scorer who is struggling with the shots, you look to see the ball go through the nets.

I agree. This thing where the Knicks practically ignore KP for most of the game is INSANELY STUPID! They should be drilling on ways to get KP open and in prime scoring position. Setting screens for him and playing thru him for more of the game. Rather than only having RoLo get a million post touches that could be KP.

Even at that, he can finish at the rim(draw fouls), he the rolling big(KP) unlike KP and sometimes Galloway, and is fantastic passer( can hit open guys). Besides, I don't think his jumper is that bad. He just needs to touch up on his mechanics, get more confidence into his shot, keep within the free throw line distance, and develop a decent 3 ball.
He is a talented hardworking guy we just got to smoothen the transition for him IMO.

No, we're Pissed Office Thursday Night Knicks Fans. Terrible shot.

Everyone is pressing. Afraid to make a mistake. Even saw KP afraid to take some shots he was drilling a few weeks back. It happens when teams start spiraling out of control.

its amazing how you can be so freakin stupid when defending melo and thj even if they would take a half court shot blind folded yet for fisher you are blind as a bat and don't even consider anything.
Its not about who you decide you like or don't like. Watch plsys for what they are but your main problem is that you refuse to learn anything about the game. Read some articles, listen to sports radio ...
You are becoming a bit of a clown

Not me. I think win or lose of no significance in this game at all . . .
