This is the matchup I most want to see this year. I was so disappointed when we "gave up" the first overall pick by winning a couple of meaningless games (caveat: I know it doesn't really work that way, but it just FEELS that way).

Clearly, with the season shaping up the way it has, I no longer harbor any disappointment, as we have clearly landed one of the top two franchise cornerstones with our #4 stud.

Can't wait to see the head-2-head battle tonight. GO KNICKS!

I'm sure KP is psyched for this matchup as well. I just hope he busts out of his mini slump/Rookie Wall that he's been facing on the past roadtrip.

Hopefully some homecooking and the roar of the Garden crowd brings out the fire in our young Latvian.

Im guessing Melo will try to help KP win his matchup against Towns. Watched Minny last night, they're in a slump, their defense has been bad. Hopefully the Knicks will try to make a run on them early. Im sure Towns would like to end their slump with a win over KP and the Knicks.

This is all about the Knicks playing the right way. If they come with the right energy and execution they should beat this team and any of the weak teams in the league. They have to start games with the right energy level and no more slow starts.

So I take it that this is not a 1 on 1 game...but includes other players besides Towns and KP...Am I right about this?

BTW- Any "older timers" remember when the NBA had that 1/1 competition tournament?

Vague memory of it...but I can't remember any of the players. Was it during the 70's?

The passing is beyond horrible. The passes they are making are so slow-paced and obvious it's as though they're going through the sets as they would in a practice drill while the Twolves are playing at full speed
