Im developing a huge hatred for Orlando. Props my a$$!!!! Freaking hate them!!!!!!
Knicks still not as smooth as a team like the Magic. You can see they have more chemistry due to experience together. Knicks are still developing. They're getting better but still a lot more work needed. Also we really missed KOQ!
Grant needs some D league. He had an open 8' shot and instead throws up an over the shoulder chuck. He has NO confidence in his shot. We don't need him shooting 3 pointers just good 15' shots. PAINFULL!!!

Most sickening loss next to the game at Charlotte, IMO . . .
crzymdups wrote:Fisher should've brought in KP and Galloway around the 4-5 minute mark. Not the 1 minute mark. Also, did they post up Afflalo a single time all night?
Also, Lance Thomas just got a shot off! Hey look at that, he's 9-9 from the field.
We needed better decisions from the coach and the point guards tonight. Grant was not the answer.
KP in for rolo? Too many problems with that. And even on offense where KP was not really able to do anything against the magic, at least lopez was setting killer picks.
Gallo in for Grant for sure. AA had post ups but orlando played it very well. AA was plain bad tonight.
Orlando crushed us on picks tonight. CRUSHED!!
Orlando's depth is very good.

(LOL) Yeah . . . that's right.

Yes! Despite what others have said, love that Fish finally let Grant play some crunch time minutes. He played well. He is not the reason we lost the game. He will only get better, the more he plays. And we saw a lot of positive signs.
ah ... so you really have no idea what you are talking about. Grant was terrible in crunch time.
How was he terrible? Because he missed one shot? And tell me exactly how Calderon would have been any better? You can make a case for Gallo playing over him in crunch time; can't argue with that, but don't tell me he was the reason we lost tonight.
We lost tonight b/c ROLO had no answer for Vucevic in the paint, and Orlando hit one big shot after the other. They deserved to win.
they did deserve to win and def did not want to see jose. Gallo should have been in there. Grants shooting is gonna be a huge issue.
For whatever guy was nitpicking about whether or not this was a must win game in the beginning of the thread. Of course it wasn't, but I think it was a very bad sign for the Knicks playoffs hopes. Hope I'm wrong.
Terrible PG play all around. Afflalo never got the ball, only 8fg attempts and like three of those were rushed shots in the final minute. Lance didn't get the ball enough.
You gotta at least try KP on Vucevic. He was scoring at will on Rolo. Give the guy a different look at least - and we've seen KP hold his own against Cousins and AD.
This game just had that cursed feel to it though. Like the Kings game - just felt like one of those games the Knicks were destined to lose. Oh well. Cleveland up next with Kyrie back. Then a back to back with Boston and Atlanta. Schedule gets real from here on out.
Even the +/- stats show - Galloway + 5, Porzingis +2 Derrick Williams + 3
RLO -8
Don't get the reasoning to play RLO these many minutes - as if he's a franchise Center or something. Even if you lose games like these, you want your future franchise player to gain valuable experience getting opportunities at the 5 spot. Phil needs to have a long talk with Fish.
I'm done with Seraphin, Sasha and Jose! I don't wanna see those guys playing any significant minutes. I know Jose is gonna play but maybe Fish will get back to playing Jerian!!!
Considering the circumstances, Orlando was much better team tonight . . .
Malcolm wrote:Knicks shot 51%. They got beat by hot Orlando shooting . . .
They got beat by Vucevic scoring at will in single coverage against Rolo. 13-19fgs.
SocraticBallin22 wrote:Vucevic scores on ROLO again in the paint. But according to a lot of the users on here, he's playing him great!
Dude it's certainly frustrating to see him score but until you can say what rolo did wrong you're being a fool. Guy was hot tonight as was Fournier
I would have liked to see more team D. Sagging down off entry or occasional double. And as others mentioned might have been nice to make V play D on the other end.
But rolo denied position and played him well.

Thank you! This is the reason they held us off in the 4th...and bad perimeter 3 defense. No adjustment by Fish. KP would have at least made him somewhat uncomfortable with his length. Had to at least try it. Not saying he would have completely stopped him.

I think the minutes where Seraphin was in there really messed up the team. If KOQ was in there I think they spark a run and it changes the game!
crzymdups wrote:Magic scored on 9 of their last 10 possessions.Where the hell were KP and Galloway.
Did not like Fisher's substitutions tonight. Not at all.
I agree at least w the end of the game and he had a slow hook in 1st quarter
Gallo and KP were missed on D and offensive rebounding

Rolo couldn't guard him. It was Fish's job to either A) take him out and try Zinger on him or B) throw a double team his way. Dude was way too comfortable in the post against ROLO.
the Knicks playoffs hopes
I've never had a realistic expectation for the playoffs, mostly just to be a good team. East is real strong - even Orlando may not make it. Heck, sometimes a team like Atlanta (last year's ECF team) is out of the top 8.
What irks me is the dedication to play certain players just because of veteran status. That's silly. You play your better players. Calderon at this point is not a better player than Galloway - and Gallo should be playing the point ahead of him. If Grant plays more games like tonight, he should be at PG more. Calderon should be phased out - he's a walking mismatch for our opponents.
The RLO/Porzingis lineups are the least effecient and effective. DWill was a +3 today and got what 10 minutes? With Quinn out, you play DWill more. If Thomas is playing well, you play him more, but not at the cost of KP/DWill. Those 2 are 2 of your highest PER guys.
Anyway, on to the next one.
