Knicks · Knicks @ Hawks - after Christmas Day Sale! aka Boxing Day aka Knicks kick some ass day! (page 12)

Think about it.....there's nobody on the knicks team that really scares you on defense. We make roll players look like All Stars....

Basically, teams can run any strategy against us, and be affective. Then all they have to do is apply defense on our guards, and create turnovers.

Our problems are bigger than the coach. And with a coach like Fisher, the lack of talent really stands out. A better coach wouldn't help us because it will only hide our weaknesses. To be honest, we 1 legit starter on the entire team. The rest of solid roll players. So you have to expect this type of play....Against a team of All Stars.

Just keep digging the hole deeper! With every post you're only making it more clear you don't know what you're talking about!

Lol really so again when teams de up hard on half court sets you don't push the tempo to not allow them to do that lol you should probably stop posting because if you don't know that, again that's basic knowledge.

Jesus! Please don't try to match wits with me about basketball tactics. I'm just tired of you posting these overly simplistic points that you think would solve the problem. You're watching the game and you think the lack of pushing the ball in this game is the problem?
mreinman @ 12/26/2015 9:45 PM
whats worse than rolo in the post?

KOQ IN THE POST

Nah. KP, Melo, and Afflalo are all legit starters. LT is becoming a legit 6th man.

But I agree that's not enough against 5 all stars . . .

Again basic knowledge fish sill hasnt shown he can adjust on the fly one defensive adjustment after the first and shut us down.

you don't seem to adjust your posting to make any sense.

Cuz he really thinks all that separates the Hawks n Knicks is an adjustment! SMDH!

Well . . . that about sums it up.

well the knicks have scored 93 points which usually means you're in the game-- the problem is the triangle was rarely run by the second unit when the knicks began to unravel, and the defense was also bad with them tonight. the knicks offense was a mess but they managed to score anyway.

meanwhile the knicks have had almost 120 points scored on them.

the existential problem was and is defense-- always is he case with losing teams.

Grants Dad must be in his sons ear, saying wakeup or you won't be a knick for long. And might not be in the NBA, if he can't find a role as a backup PG. He can't beat out our starting guard, and thats a problem because every PG in the NBA overwhelms Calderon every game.

YUP! Knicks were put together with role players and young prospects. It's stage one of a process of building a team. The Hawks are WAY ahead of us in terms of the process. It's really not hard to understand tho some seem to be having a hard time with it.

Speculative question, please: if the Knicks could play the starting 5 for 48 minutes . . . how much better would we be (?)

In other words: do we just not have depth (?)

If you listed the top 5 knick players LT would be in that group.

Would certainly avoid any question about how well Fisher handles rotations (!)

Yeah, and that's encouraging in Triangle Culture terms. LT seems to be a Triangle Culture success story . . .

Not enough QUALITY PERIOD! We rely on a lot of young developing players and some old guys. The team has a long way to go and it's going to be exposed against certain teams! The Hawks can turn it up several levels above the Knicks. No point in basing things off comparison with the Hawks.

Knicks just have to keep working and developing their players. Hope Phil can improve the roster a bit more! Losses like this are actually GOOD in that it makes it clear how much work Phil has to do.

fitzarm, these guys love everything fisher does. That triangle sht is straight bull sht, and it diminishes everyones skillset.

I'm not saying they shouldn't run entirely, but to make that a staple of your offense is sign of having a coach who has limited creativity.

Lol cause I said if we just push the ball it would change the outcome of the game lol hell no we played shitty defense and allowd them in the paint at will. The Hawks are a great team with a great coach ... We were kicking there ass their coach made adjustments on defense and offense ... Fisher had no counter act ? Have you guys ever played the game? It's all about adjusting the game plan to what the other team throws at you...this was a easy adjustment to up the defense intensity force us to push the tempo which we didn't= easy win for Hawks

What's sad about it is that he's probably not going to get much younger in the remaining years of his contract . . .
