as long as calderon is aggressive on the offensive end, we can win this
nixluva @ 1/1/2016 9:35 PM
TERRIFIC TRIANGLE ACTION JOSE
crzymdups @ 1/1/2016 9:35 PM
Calderon playing great tonight - finding the seams in the D and nailing pullup Js in those seams.

Knicks1969 wrote:Question: why is Aflalo defending Butler who is 6'8"???

He's too quick for Melo (and most nba SF) - Lance is their best matchup on him.

Lance in for AA again after the timeout.

Thats going to be a common theme.....Just my guess, based on AA's slow start lately and flat jumpshot. I think his legs are starting to show their age.

I'm not sure what's up with AA - he's not that old, he's barely 30. He looks off the past few weeks though. He was starting to really come on for a few weeks before that. It may just be that teams see what his spots are and they push him off those spots. He's great when he's in a very select few spots. You get him off those spots and he's below average on offense.

And Butler is just too much for him to defend.

I think we all just got so excited with the way he started we forgot that he's really just a average to kinda good player and he's gonna be inconsistent so that's what we're seeing now.
Knicks1969 @ 1/1/2016 9:35 PM
This is the Calderon I have been looking for. The one who looks for his offense
blkexec @ 1/1/2016 9:35 PM
Any center with a little shake and bake gives Rolo problems.

Calderon needs to understand he needs to be aggresive like this on offense, for the starting unit to work.

WP76 @ 1/1/2016 9:35 PM
I'm wondering where the real Jose Calderon is being held captive and who is the guy in his uniform that's tearing it up tonight?
SocraticBallin22 @ 1/1/2016 9:35 PM
okay...what have they done to Jose and who is this offensively aggressive clone taking his place?

To protect melo's alleged great defense.

Butler is the Bulls SG. It's not like he's their SF and Melo isn't playing him.

Bulls arent really running a conventional lineup. they dont have an actual pg or sf in the starting lineup/

Kirk Hinrich is a PG. Mirotic is a SF. Butler is a SG.

Hinrich really is a sg, mirotic is a pf.

Hinrich has been a PG literally his entire career as a professional basketball player.

He actually hasnt. His first time with chi he was a point after that he's been a two.

He's always been a PG. The only reason he hasn't played there as much has been D Rose. But when D Rose is out, he's their PG.

Jose with a second vintage game

I don't think AA's body is used to these heavy starter minutes. It can add up quick, and impact your performance.

Down to 2, lets go Knicks !

Ok so not D-Will but Lance then right?? Got it.

crzymdups @ 1/1/2016 9:37 PM
KP! nice D on Taj on one end and takes him in the post on the other end!
nixluva @ 1/1/2016 9:37 PM
KP WITH THE RUNNING HOOK! Finally using his hook shots.
SocraticBallin22 @ 1/1/2016 9:37 PM
KP6 just took Taj in the post and hook shot him... I repeat...took TAJ in the post (a good defender)
crzymdups @ 1/1/2016 9:37 PM
Zero free throw attempts for Melo tonight, after zero free throw attempts against Detroit.

I guess Melo just doesn't get fouled anymore!

dk7th @ 1/1/2016 9:38 PM
shyt sht by melo there
blkexec @ 1/1/2016 9:38 PM
There is absolutely nothing anybody can do against KP's hook shot. I don't care who's guarding him.
