No...they were ready. Had plenty of days off, and prepared for this matchup. It's our starting 5 thats the real problem. Too many slow foot players on the floor at one time. Pretty much the entire starting 5 have slow feet.....So their reaction time on defense is going to be slow......and they have nobody in the starting 5 that can create his own shot or penetrate. So the offense will struggle and the defense will struggle, against most NBA teams. This has been a glaring issue since day one.....But it's going to take more slow starts like today b4 Fisher makes any changes.

The starters have played better than that before. It was mostly about missing most of their shots. If they made their shots it wouldn't have been such a big lead.

It's always the athletic matchups that gives up problems. The less athletic a starting 5 is, the better we look....And our shots go down, becasue of slower defense against us. So it's always matchups. My issue is majority of the NBA starting lineups have more athletes and speed than us....So for the most part, we have been and continue to dig ourselves out of a hole. Take out one of the slow players and install a quicker player, we would have better starts overall.

You are spot on. I have been crying for a month now to change the starting lineup. It's too slow and unathletic and we are always falling behind early in games, but Fish's stubbornness and lack of creativity prevents this from happening.

There's not too many options on the bench though, and the ones that are are basically playing the same position.

I think reinforcements are coming soon. Some speed should be added.

Why returning with the same old slow lineup???
crzymdups @ 1/1/2016 8:52 PM
Bulls seem to be much better when DRose doesn't play these days.
dk7th @ 1/1/2016 8:52 PM
kp short and high off the glass. he does that a lot. needs to work on that shot in the summer.

Answer this one question. Do you think you know more about the game of basketball than D.Fisher??

Yep....but terrible defense with 2 fouls. As he gets more experience, he will realize how to block shots without fouling, like he could've done in that last possesion.

first foul was a necessary evil. the knicks were about to hemorrhage.

knickscity @ 1/1/2016 8:53 PM
KP a little wild with his shot now.
blkexec @ 1/1/2016 8:53 PM
Rolo must have nightmares against mobile bigs....At least in a knick uniform!
yellowboy90 @ 1/1/2016 8:54 PM
Bring in Thomas for AA
Knicks1969 @ 1/1/2016 8:54 PM
Calderon is by far the BEST defender in the league

Hate to say it, but I'd bring in Lance or Derrick for KP.

I'm e=getting real tired of watching Afflalo play the last couple of weeks. He started out great and everyone on here was loving him but he can't do **** lately.
nyknickzingis @ 1/1/2016 8:58 PM
If you look at it, being down 5 or 15 the main difference is that start. It's mental. I don't think the starting 5 seems to get their game going quick enough on most nights. You need more energy or whatever you want to call it. I think even changing Affalo for Thomas may help. Anything, just to get the team some more life and energy. You take away the slow start, and this is a more typical game.
