Well said regarding Shved. I really liked him in this system. He would have been a HUGE HUGE help this year. The way he breaks down defenses was fun to watch, he just had a nack at that. But he was able to shoot ok too, so that really made him nice. He finished well but his defense wasn't the best but he used his length quite well. Honestly, we would be solidly over .500 if he was here. I think he would have really helped make this team more a TEAM. And all over Seraphin, lol.

Yeah he's the right kind of guard, but he's not likely going to be available. I really don't see an issue with taking a look at a Jimmer or Wroten. We do have a spot for that purpose it would seem. With Phil taking his time about filling that spot it seems like he's making calls and seeing what is out there in the way of deals. Otherwise I don't see why he'd leave the open roster spot unfilled in addition to Early being out. Seems like he's trying to work on something.

Yeah i'm definitely thinking Phil is stalling on filling that spot on any 10 day contracts cause he's waiting out free agency or for something to fall in his lap. I'm sure he's working the phones but the problem with trying to make any trades this far away from the deadline is that teams aren't gonna trade any good players cause they know they can get better deals closer to the deadline.

Speaking of which, here is the latest highlight vid of him (I think he had back issues earlier on in the season). I think he's averaging 16pts and 4 assists.

The game does start with the PG spot my friend. If your PG is slow, you are prone to have a slow team in all facets of the game
The thing is with Melo/Afflalo/Calderon, it is too little speed as a combination as a perimeter unit. You may want to bring Afflalo off the bench for a more athletic, quicker starter. The problem is Afflalo is the team's 2nd option on many nights and without him can you trust his replacement on offense?
I do think we've seen an improvement since Fisher went his new 9 man rotation. We've seen the starters and other lineups play better. I definitely agree we need atleast 1 starting change. Will that come this season though? Doubt it. Think will need to wait until next season. Give Phil a summer to use the capspace to find a backcourt player he trusts can fit into the offense and defend. Batum is someone on everyone's radar. We need an athletic 2 or 1 in the starting 5, but someone who also fits the needs on offense as well.
In theory Galloway has the tools to be that player as does Grant, but they aren't showing the consistency to warrant being promoted to starting.

SAME SHVED! This guy was the one that got away. I can understand Phil thinking the team could get it done without him but he would've made a huge difference to this team. Bad move but we gotta move on. All GM's make mistakes. Let's hope he makes a great move to upgrade the roster soon.

Yeah well if your views were more realistic and not just ALWAYS negative against everything the knicks try to do then i wouldn't have to comment on your fictional posts. I just don't like it when fans on a message board actually think that they can do a better job of coaching the Knicks and fixing the Knicks better than guys that have spent their lives in the NBA in some way or another and that's what you and a few others do and it's not only fictional but it's also ridiculous. Thanks for this. I was gonna ask on here if anyone could find out how he's been doing. I miss him and would love to see what he could do on a good team cause we didn't have that when he was playing with us before. After watching the video i want him back even more now.

Well lets not act like he's 100% gone cause i remember when it was announced that he was going back overseas it was said that the contract he signed with them has an out clause in it so he could come back to the NBA if a team wanted him. I can't remember exactly what the clause was or exactly how it works but i do remember there was something to that effect.

How are my views always negative? I often point out solutions to everything I criticize around here. I was not in agreement with Fisher due to the misuse of the talents on the roster. Have you seen any negativity out of me since Fisher decided to finally stop messing with the rotation? I will answer for you; Hell no. I had issues with Calderon, because he was horrible early on, he is still a poor defender, but now that he is taking and making shots, I advocate for him to remain on the floor. I am a fair person my man. I will criticize and praise when necessary::)))

So you say i haven't seen any negativity from you since Fisher stuck with his 9 man rotation and of course i have cause you still talk negatively about Calderon on the gameday threads and you just got on Fisher for only having a 8 man rotation against the Nets so there's that. I made that post that you're commenting on like a week ago so lets just let that go cause you've absolutely been better since we've been winning and playing better.

Winning cures all ilnesses:). But if you are honest with yourself, you will see that I gravely curtailed my criticism since the reduction in the rotation. I will ride or die with a 9 to 10 me. Rotation. Just play Williams heavy minutes and I will be happy.
