enough of the silly jose threads. the knicks are a much better team when he is on the court

true

Bucks were so overrated this year. They have such a low basketball IQ.

Lopez too

don't see it so much with lopez other then him getting much more comfortable in the post. maybe a bit in better shape now stamina wise.

You think it's just comfort in the offense?

I remember last season, first season in the Triangle, Phil and guys on the team were saying they thought it'd take til January or so til it became comfortable? Maybe that's what's happening here? Since Jose essentially missed all of last season?

Partly because he is good . . . and partly because Grant is not.

Whoa now you better watch out talking good about Calderon on here cause not everyone understands what he does for the team. That's your first warning...lol

fans have been pretty fair about calderon actually. His shooting has been good but his passing and defense has not been. Tonight he is playing his best overall game. Nobody has ever questioned his leadership

Not every fan has been fair and that's a fact and he's had better games this year.

I have said all year long, when dude is scoring the ball he should play, but he hasn't been consistent at all

Haven't you been watching the whole game like when they went to a video of Fisher earlier talking about how they don't ask Calderon to do more and it's not about stats when it comes to what he brings on the floor?? You can't just go on a players stats to judge them for what they bring to a team.

once again everyone understands his leadership and i Agree its important. HOWEVER im talking strictly on the court which has been up and down

Don't change your tune now that he's playing well, it doesn't work like that but good try.

I love Calderon as a personality on this team... but if we can sign Conley this off-season, I would jump up and down. I'd like to keep Calderon on the team as a bench guy/pseudo assistant coach. But an upgrade at PG would take this team to the next level.

Yes i do agree that we still need an upgrade at point guard to take that next step. I just don't understand that with all the basketball knowledge we have around here why SOME can't see that Calderon is actually bringing a lot of positives to this team even when he doesn't put up the stats.

Grant is learning. By April or so, I bet Grant has some real moments for this team. By next season? A lot of moments.

but even when gallo plays point. Its terrible

In the last 5 games, Jose looks more quicker and has been more assertive on offense. Have to give him credit. However, this does not hide the fact that he still royally struggles on defense with penetration nor does it stop us from trying to upgrade at the position.
