This is actually a good learning experience for how they can function better without MELO. The rest of the team has to get sharper.
Here's my take for the 2nd half with Melo out: When DWill is in the game, give him a Harden type role on the offense. Get him the ball and give him the creativity and license to create off the dribble. Nets have proven they can't stop him and keep fouling him. Force them to make an adjustment and double him to open up the game for others.
wait you mean KP is not more free without Melo? What a difference a week or two makes.

its nice to see you say something positive for a change

you should never discount kp's overall floor impact. it is elite.
oh, on defense I totally agree. and his very pressence helps on offense... but the shots he is taking are bad right now. he's forcing too much.
just looks off and out of sorts without daddyMelo
i am counting on his figuring it out in the second half. no question kp puts up bad shots. i'd love to see him be in a position to be a passer. his court vision is superior and it is not being utilized enough yet.

So let DWill do in the 2nd half what he did in the 1st half....got it.

The drop off is really too drastic IMO. These players have to figure out how to execute better when MELO isn't in the game. They've got enough talent but don't seem to fully know how to use it yet.

Yes... but do MUCH MORE of it. Basically.
tough miss for kp. he really wanted that one i'll bet
Another good shot for KP.
Horrendous passing by jose
Good timeout by Fisher. Knicks look hungover. Trap game.
they'd never call it but that nyet fouled kp with a push.
Lance is -15. He should come out for DWill.
Jose is simply not a threat out there. Even when he tries to penetrate, no one respects him and it leads to turnovers. Everyone always plays him for the pass.

Don't know why guys pass the ball low to KP where a defender can stick his hand in on it.
