James is clearly not enjoying the former Knick clowns Shump and JR. He blew a lot of smoke about fixing them and being a great leader...blah blah. Culture and overall ability was the main problem with the roster.

The whole system is predicated on movement around your best player and putting him in a place to put pressure on the defense with the threat of him scoring. Triangle without a ball dominant scorer equals just some Johnny Bach scribblings on the back of a napkin. Talent in the right system is what wins championships but without talent all you have is a fired coach muttering about "7 seconds or less"

definitely still ISO melo but now its pretty much all post iso as opposed to face up clear outs followed by a contested 20 footer.

DadMelo isn't winning without decent teammates. What I found most impressive last night was that when he was angry and frustrated he didnt try to take things into his own hands and force things. To not go back to what you relied on when things are really tough shows true change, trust, and belief in his teammates.

Selfish ISO is not the same as creating a One on One in the flow of a motion offense! There's nothing wrong with creating 1on1 looks where the defense has to help and the ISO'd player is looking to take advantage of the D if they give help!
Great players warp a defense as they draw defensive attention. When you can get that great player to use defensive attention to create great looks for his teammates that's when the magic happens. Nothing wrong with ISO when done right.

I think the new things are what sparked the new mindset. I don't think one happens without the other.

Does the mindset and attitude shift change happen if there aren't all these "new" things to make those things happen?
Please tell me who Melo was passing to and then walking back up court confidently before the shot was even let go? Who is Melo passing cross court darts to with any trust?
Is "Phil" and "KP" and "Rolo" and "DWill" and "LT" just ancillary parts that are comparable to anything "else" he's played with?
