Another PG Id take over Conley in free agency for less.
Lakers would match the offer sheet.
Forget about restricted free agents.
I'm weary on Jordan Clarkson. He doesn't play any defense, not to say he won't get better.
I've seen a fair amount of Lakers games the past two years for some reason.
I've never once been impressed by Jordan Clarkson.

You probably felt the same way about Dwill. Byron scott is a horrible coach, no one gets better under his watch, with No chris pual or kidd, he's been a disaster

I actually liked DWill and said so when Briggs suggested going after him last season.

I disagree. He needs a lot of work defensively and while he has a very nice offensive game, adding this type of one dimensional player isn't really a big win for the Knicks.

he needs to start going to the hole like wilson chandler, since he's a white dude
Let's talk about a restricted free agent the Lakers will re-sign.

A brief chant rose up at Staples Center on Wednesday night during the Lakers’ loss to the Kings: “We want Phil.’’
I have a good feeling about J clark, he can definitely knock down a jumper, and he has a lot of potential, he's just in a bad situation
Hell no. That dude is not a PG

I just also don't really see the Lakers letting him go, particularly to Phil. You think Jimmy Buss didn't hear those "Phil" chants in LA? You think he'd let the Knicks sign one of their top three young players who is a restricted FA?
It just seems like a non-starter.
If he takes the one year qualifying offer and goes for unrestricted FA in 2017, then it's within the realm of possibility.
A lot of guys here were coveting Restricted Free Agents last off-season. How'd that go? Did a single restricted free agent leave their team? I'm talking big fish. Jimmy Butler. Draymond Green. Khris Middleton. No, they don't leave unless they go the Greg Monroe route and play out their qualifying offer.

I guess the theme of this post is I dont want to pay 20mm for Mike Conley.
For this year Id like to add a pro NBA guard(say G Hendersen is bought out--something like that? or early for a 1 yr player)) and use a slot on Christian Wood with the thought process of 3 years with him at rookie min 700k etc..
In the draft Id like us to add 2 2's one a PG--Yogi Ferrell who will give us quality and different dimensions as a third PG and 1 a SG Isiaih Miles who has upside one of one day being a high quality starting SG.
In the NBA Im staying on Tyler Johnson--hes athletic hes 6-4 200 he can shoot pass dribble--I think he adds more for less than Conley at lets say 7mm
Finally we can add Willy G probably have to pay him a bit--maybe 4 years 10mm
That leaves us with $ to sign Affalo Williams and Thomas yet still be flexible
i.e this
C Lopez Oquinn Willy G
PF KP D Will C Woods
SF Carmelo L Thomas Miles
G Affalo Galloway Grant
G Johnson Calderon Ferrell
clarkson isnt a good PG. doesnt have good passing skills. but hes still a nice young talent. hes gonna cost at least 15 mill though
tyler johnson doesnt pass well and he doesnt stay healthy well either. lol

I'd be open to splitting up our cap space among a few core players again. I could see Afflo Melo and KP as my core triangle for a few more years while building infrastructure around KP. I don't think win now makes a ton of sense with the stacked teams out there. See what comes. I think DWill needs to know he has a permanent home here next to KP if he wants to keep his contract reasonable. Definitely need a PG stopper... Not sure if one exists in this league that can slow down guys like Curry.
What about Norris Cole? Is there any international point guards that's getting overlooked?
knicks should go after jerry bayless and nicolas batum during the off season

Some around here claim that the dude is not good enough
