It shows how if certain players opted in or out after this year or if we didn't re-sign certain players what money we'd have to sign a max player. I'm sure Phil already knows all of this so it kinda gives us an idea of what Phil is thinking if he did trade away certain players like a DW, LT, AA or Gallo. If a couple of those guys were traded and we didn't get back any players that are signed after this year then he's most likely planning on signing a max guy next year or that's what he's hoping to do.
