Im very confident that at some point advances in technology will mitigate the risk of concussions to a more acceptable level for all involved. Too much money (and power) at stake for them to let this issue kill the golden goose. Uniforms might look a lot different lol, but Im sure the game will continue to be popular.

They have enough money to put some into brain research. Not just for NFL players but for the good of society in general

this... and even if they don't? Guys will still play.
When I played in an amateur league our way of avoid concussions was to not wear any gear at all. I still ended up in ER with full amnesia and a concussion, but to be fair I hit the frozen ground and not another player. Same result. Very strange experience not knowing where I worked, what town my apartment was in, but otherwise feeling fine.
What are the statistics on concussions within sports like Hockey, Soccer, and Rugby?

In 2010, Goodell admitted that they have been studying the effects of CTE on players for at least 14 years. I wonder how many teams and players were warned.
Right. The NFL is going to die. How many solar systems tune into the Super Bowl again?
Get real.
Concussions in sports! OMG! Injuries! Long term illnesses! How could this be happening! What's going to happen is the helmets and uniforms at the less than college level are going to start looking like those full body marshmallow outfits that bored people wear to parties sometimes.
Please explain why boxing and MMF and Karate and WWF/WWE/WWWhatever and any other of these exercises in controlled violence are still in busine$$?
Mohammed Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's syndrome in 1984, a disease that commonly results from head trauma from activities such as boxing.
On July 27, 2012, Ali was a titular bearer of the Olympic Flag during the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He was helped to his feet by his wife Lonnie to stand before the flag due to his Parkinson's rendering him unable to carry it into the stadium.
The most famous athlete in the history of sports. What did Mayweather take home from that last fight, again? And all of pro boxing isn't even a flea on the tick of the NFL's butt.
The NFL will never die. There will always be people willing to put their body on the line for the type of money you have the potential to make in the NFL. If people are willing to work in coal mines for much less pay then people will always be willing to play Football. People will just need to be smarter with how they manage their careers. The tough guy act does not work with brain injuries.
I watch the movie Concussion last night. It was weird for me starting off because my high school coach use to always use Mike Webster as a player I should try to emulate. I still remember talking about Webster's quick feet.
Anyway, I don't know if football will ever die any time soon but I also believe that it is a sport that is not meant to be played. No one should endure that amount of head trauma as a youth or adult not to mention the other amount of bodily trauma.
I don't the the NFL will die in the short-term. In the long term I think it will have problems. Obama said that if he had boys he probably wouldn't let them play football. Greg Anthony's kid (who is as blue chip an NBA prospect as there is) wasn't allowed to play football in HS because his parents put their foot down. Randle-El just said that if he could do it all over again he would have played pro baseball instead of football and he was a Pro-Bowler...
All of this has to do with the next generation. Any future SupremeCommanders will not be playing fooball

explains some of your crazy ass opinions here
Seriously - I would think the NFL should experiment with going retro on less padding, helments.
I read an article about womens Lacross and how they didn't want to wear helments or goggles because doing so made the players more aggressive.
I guarantee you would see no head to head collisions on purpose if guys had their face fully exposed and only a thin layer of leather protecting their head.

Some of your trade ideas were a classic warning sign.
Im thinking some sort of smart gel pack woven into the helmet. IDK.

If the NFL follows their MO, they'll wait until it starts really eating into their profits ,and their their brand suffers more than they're willing to bear, before they do the right thing.
