He absolutely can coach. Is he a great coach yet?? Nope but he's got this squad playing hard and players only play hard for good coaches.
Stop making excuses for his bad decisions. It's getting old.
Fish can coach but he keeps trying to buy minutes to preserve his core players but it doesn't work. He's clearly trying to keep guys minutes down.

Really bummed.
He's playing the same crappy lineups and not even thinking of running the Triangle with them.If Phil's watching this, he's pissed. They're not even filling the spacing of the Triangle and it's game 51 now. No more excuses. Fisher simply does not get it yet. Maybe never will.
Thought we made a breakthrough with that rotation a while back, but he's abandoned it even now with a full strength squad. What the heck is the point of having a Lopez/Porzingis frontline if you don't use them to anchor? Ridiculous.
Phil is always at the home games and i don't think it was a bad decision to try that lineup with the way Sasha has been playing lately and i'm sure he was thinking DW would help with scoring but he stinks at shooting and he called a timeout when it started getting out of hand and changed the lineup. Seems fine with me. The lineup not working isn't fine but they had their backups in so it was worth a try with Melo having 2 fouls and KP having a bad 1st quarter.
See? An actual lineup with Lopez? Rotation has to be in the frontcourt:
Lopez/Porzingis @ C
Porzingis/Williams/Melo @ PF
Melo/Thomas @ SF
Unless blowout or garbage time or injuries.
Alright now Sasha is getting silly after hitting a couple shots lmao

but again...why did Gallo pass up the open 3 after the Melo screen?

Sasha just knows what to do and he's confident. Grant n Jerian both hesitate too much!
what about Gallo
LOL. YEAH GALLO 😜
SocraticBallin22 wrote:Inexcusable to start the quarter with that lineup with no scoring out there. Nothing like having a low basketball IQ coach. Now let's overreact and bring back in all the starting 5 way too early..smh
Are you gonna yell at him?? lol
Gallo has to take that 3...bad Sasha, that time.
how the hell is olynyk still in the game with 3 fouls
Sasha is starting to gain some fans.

I'll do and say what i want. Why don't you find something else to complain about besides the same old crap every game thread??

Knicks have the lead again. Is he a good coach again?
How did we get the lead again? He brought Melo, Rolo and Langston back in. There is no excuse to begin the 2nd with a lineup sans Melo, AA or KP? How are we going to score if D Will is off, which he was.
How is Fisher supposed to know DWill is off until he sees him play?
I get that it wasn't great to have a starter on the floor, but they're missing one to injury and Melo was in foul trouble.
Lopez doing that thing to pad his rebounding stats, a la George McGinnis.
KP needs to face up and not post up at this stage in his career. Much more effective.
SocraticBallin22 wrote:Since when did Sasha learn how to shoot again?
Since he got floor time. You do know that players need time to get their game going right??

LOL
Sullinger pushes KP on the rebound...forcing him to bend over...no foul?
Knicks are actually getting some calls now, which is very strange to see.

It's amazing how you still don't realize that players need rest especially your scorers. It's really not that hard to figure out.
