is slowly but consistently killing Porzingis' confidence.
i am sure steve mills and phil jackson are talking...
No, he made the right call, Porzingis's shot was off and Lopez was playing really well. Thomas had a very good effort.
What I want to see is more of the offense the team ran in the 2nd half, which was to abandon the read/react part of the Triangle, and instead form the sideline Tri by overloading one side with 3 guys and then going to work with the ball on the weak side with 2 man games. You can run screen/rolls, you can give and goes, you can run post entry and cuts, you can run screen/pops. Lots of different options that are far easier for these guys to grasp than the Triangle.
If we run the offense the way we did in the 2nd half, Porzingis will get many open looks and good looks within the offense. We went away from trying to run the Triangle, and instead went to using Triangle spacing to get guys good 2 man games going on the weakside. Was very impressive how good the team is at that way of playing, May just be the team needs to scrap trying to run the Triangle because they clearly don't get it beyond the basics.

This team played differently in the second half, because Carmelo was on the ball as our Point Forward
Dude runs zero plays. KP has to rely on Melo getting him the ball.
It's like a broken record at this point, but Fisher is ruining KP, like he messed up Grant's confidence this season. Doesn't do anything to free up Porzingis at all. No rubs, no curl plays. If KP isn't open after the initial sideline triangle motion, then it's Melo or Afflalo creating for themselves.
Just isn't the right coach to lead this team through the rebuild. Destroys confidence in his young players rather than inspire.

We need a coach and a PG. Add a top assistant on the bench; preferably, a former head coach like Scott Brooks, and find a PG

nixluva - u r f'n nutz
newyorker4ever - omg hahahahahahaha lmfao
but in reality...do you think KP is not going to show he's godzingis by brushing this off and starting afresh next season?

He'll get by on natural talent and progession and growth and work in the offseason.
That all said, it would help alot if he had the an actual X's and O's coach that can draw plays for him, and not rely on "the process" or the "system".
That debacle in the 1st half should've gotten Fisher shyt canned that's for sure. If it's not Phil, he would've been gone at half time.
Loyalty, it's a motherphucker.
btw, when the warriors went on to beat cavs, kerr benched iguodala and that bold move paid dividends.
what bold moves will "coach" make?

Good points. Needs to do a better job getting kp looks. He is not a quick draw shooter.

So the Knicks gave up on Fisher last night right?? Or maybe they just gave up on him in the 1st half and then all of the sudden bought in again in the 2nd half....SMDH

You got it.
Players have pride too, they might have tuned Fisher out, but no one likes to get embarassed.
at least some of you are starting to see what me and knicks1969 have being saying for months...
But i saw it since last season, there was one thing that fisher and his staff did, or have done that has impress me at all.
Rolo had a really good game last night, but how many 4th qtrs have he been bench, Grant is a shell of himself, he looks like a late 2nd rounder

I would be demoralized too if I were to hear my coach claimed that it is "not important to make the playoffs."

Fish is notorious for feeding the media with dumb quotes: we don't call plays in this system is another one that I am very puzzled about. How about his quote about not defending the 3 point line because teams can't make those shots on a consistent basis?
