You really need to get over this. A system is a system.
Now is the time for Wroten, Russ Smith and Jimmer. Trade AA, Jose and move Sasha and Seraphin. We should play an exciting talented backcourt of Grant Galloway Wroten Smith and Jimmer and see if any of them can stick. At least it would be youth and excitement.
Phil is too old and rigid. He doesn't believe in doing things differently. Dude will stay the course until he is fired by Dolan. And we will once again go through the same debacle we've always gone through ever since he became the owner. If Phil is serious about winning, he will start by reassigning fisher to a front office position. Move or hire Walton if he wants the job, and remove Calderon from the starting 5. There is no telling whether Walton will not do a bout-face just like his current boss did to Phil two seasons ago.
Phil is thinking of scoring the highest grade of Peyote to drop in his ranch in Montana so he and Jeannie Buss could pretend they're in a scene from The Doors and be enlightened by Zen Buddha La.
All to forget about this 2nd year debacle. We shouldn't be contenders in year 2 of the rebuild, but we shouldn't be this fugly either.

Wroten and Jimmer...our twin beacons of hope.
Cultism lives.

We didn't have Melo, Lopez or KP last year. Philly doesn't have those guys either. We need guards! Bring in 1 or 2 or 3 guards and see if we can find something. It's happened before.

Agree with this. When you're in a rebuild and have a crap roster outside of a couple pieces, then sometimes you just have to go dumpster diving and see if shyt sticks. Uncover a jewel from a turd, like they did Lin not so long ago.
Low risk, high reward when the best PG you got isn't even a top 25 point guard and will be out of the league sooner rather than later.
This downturn all started when Melo ran into the ref and turned his ankle. - January 12th. 3-11 since that night. Melo sat out with ankle issues and now Knee issues.
Yes we can blame Fisher too but I think it more has to do with Melo being less than 100% and then LT out and KP hitting a wall a bit.

I win
can't wait til the press conference when phil will finally speak, Im sure phil got a call from dolan..Like dude..WTF?
His thinking is: fire Fisher
All I know is all KNICKS players (except KP) are on HIGH ALERT for the trade deadline.
Look who decided to start watching them today in the corner...
Think it does make a lot of sense to see what you can get for the assets that you have.
NO one on this team is all that special outside of KP.
Melo's knee trouble are worrisome and now might be the time to explore seeing what you can get for him. Is Deng and Winslow enough for Melo? Is there a three way deal out there that gets him to a city he wants to play in? Does AA has some value to a team like Cleveland making the stretch run. Would someone like Toronto trade us back our pick for a package.
All things need to be discussed at this point, because at this moment, Phil missed on his coach, his point guard and his free agent signings are starting to falter a bit.

I think it's standard for the front office to show up after a coach firing, just to give some stability

Only deal I'd consider for Melo is a 3way with the Clips sending Griffin to the Celtics and the Celtics sending us some of their stash of picks and young players.

of course! much better to tank than to win 30 games with far fewer options/chances to improve enough to build a team competitive enough to win it all. A team needs to draft 2 top 15 players to have a shot at competing.

Orlando has nice young pieces and could easily build a deal around Harris w/o bankrupting their future.
Confirmed that Rambis is the Head coach for the rest of this season which presumably means we are after someone already in a job (Walton) who won;t come until then.
