Anybody ever notice Rambis looks like he's playing Phil Jackson in a lifetime movie? They sound the same and have the same mannerisms. I can't post vids right now but if you have a chance check out and compare video.

IMO it could be much better Triangle execution than we often saw. It doesn't mean they'll play slow n predictable. It's gonna be interesting to watch.

I think there will be a much more complicated scheme. More options and more swinging the ball to the weak side to get the 2 man game going... aka the pick and roll that all the kids are raving about nowadays like it's not literally the oldest play in the book.

Crazy thing is Drag Screen and PnR have been part of the Triangle for years! There are also other plays but I would imagine Rambis will focus on the D 1st since it's much easier to implement. On offense I have to think he wants less slow and standing around stuff. Rambis mentioned that in his press Conf. He wants more motion and ball movement.
The good thing about bringing in Rambis is that he has had a birds eye view of what has been going on.
Hopefully he has an idea of what can and can not work.

I'm kind of hoping that KP becomes more featured...we had a glimpse of what he can do vs Denver- Don't want him going ISO, but guys have to look for him more often.
Maybe some of you guys know more about Rambis' issues when he was at Minny, and why he was not successful there.
For what it's worth...he actually looks like Phil a bit, IMO- maybe this is a good thing.
What people don't realize is he took over after the Lakers fired Dell Harris and did a good job with some talent. Then Phil left the Bulls for the Lakers and Rambis stuck as an assistant. The guy learned from 2 of the best. Riley & Phil. His role on the showtime Lakers was similar to Phil's role on the champion Knicks. Lunch pale, high energy, hustler enforcer. I always felt Phil saw a lot of himself in Rambo. Phil most likely brought Rambo here and made him too assistant for this very reason. Incase Fisher became overwhelmed. We all had high hopes for Fish based on his familiarity with the Triangle and being a player coach/leader throughout his career but it didn't work. Primarily because he jumped right in and didn't pay his dues around the league like Kerr, Shaw & Rambo. Fish might've become a great headcoach had he spent time learning X's and O's from the best

His track record is beyond terrible....
From listening to Phil's press conference, I tend to think that there will be a renewed emphasis on the Triangle under Rambis.
Doesn't mean that he won't tinker with the rotation, but I doubt if we see a drastic move from Phil's ideas on how to run an offense.
Talked about everyone on the staff being on the same page...got to think that Fisher and his young assistants might have wanted to move away from the Triangle, and that Rambis and Cleamons were being marginalized.

The young dude that came over from OKC who usually speaks at half time. I'm sure Phil didn't expect a mutiny when he allowed Fisher to bring in some of his own guys
