What I found interesting in the comments Uncle Phil made in the Fisher firing was that he would be active making moves before the trade deadline. This is great news. He mentioned that obviously KP is off the table in any potential move, and Melo has the no trade clause, but essentially everyone else on the roster was fair game to be traded. I'm starting to really think he will make some significant changes to the roster in the next 10 days and will be obviously addressing the glaring point guard need in some way. This is just as good as news as the Fisher firing (but not quite). I'm excited to see what he is able to do.
heard a rumor that he wants sammy d back and blames his suckyness on fisher

Are you serious? I think I would pass on that. I hated seeing him getting the ball in the high post last year initiating offense. It was ghastly.
I'm officially on board for the Tim Thomas Reclamation Project.

Just a feeling that mreinman is pulling your leg.
Could we PLEASE try Fredette already . . . which costs virtually nothing (?)

I using the word "active" is misleading because he never said he was gonna be active but he did say that they're always looking to make the team better. Unless i missed him using that word then my bad but i don't think he did.
It's time to move Afflalo Jose Seraphin and Oquinn for future assets and then start Galloway and Grant. At the same time sign Fredette Wroten and Russ Smith and see if they can produce for us going forward. We have nothing to lose.

yeah, but who is buying?
I think he'll try to make moves. But I also think he was putting the players on notice - if you like it here, time to go out and play like it. Basically the players are on notice to play like they want to make the playoffs now.
I predict that we will be a better team under Rambis. We will be more organized for sure and our rotation will b far better than what we've seen under Fisher

Thanasis was not resigned to a second ten day. Knicks have an open spot. Fredette, Murry, Wroten or Bogans are the guys I think the Knicks might look at. Maybe keeping that spot open though allows them to grab someone around the trade deadline.

Bogans? A 35 year old veteran journeyman who has been out the league and is playing in the D leage? I'll respectfully pass.
Well you know they'll play harder with the coaching change cause that's what usually happens when your coach gets fired you wanna play your hardest for the new coach but the question is how long will it last or how long can Rambis keep them playing hard?? I think we'll be a better team with Rambis and i think Phil will be around quite a bit at the practices now that he has Rambis coaching cause he made it sound like fisher was very short with his answers when talking to him so i think he'll like being at practice more with Rambis and Rambis will be much more open to having Phil around and helping at practice. If this is right and Phil is at practice more and is actively helping with the players or just talking to them would make a world of difference.

At least Rambis will not be preaching process but no playoffs:::)). The vets are all motivated to reach the playoffs

What Jackson did say was quite telling - only Melo and Kristaps are off the table. Secondly they will be looking to make 'a' significant move (not necessarily a lot of moves).
[At least] Two possibilities exist. Either Jackson rolls the dice on a player or two who have tarnished reputations or he is forced to part with an improbable trade chip - say, Gallo, Grant, or Lance Thomas. It may make more sense to think about what Knicks other teams want and work the trade scenarios backwards.
I'm guessing that released players may also factor into roster corrections.
Can't help but feel that Rondo is a serious consideration.
He said he'll be looking into making moves and would like to. Doesn't mean he'll be able to. Said clearly Knick trade assets are not that good. The only 2 quality Knick trade assets are Melo and KP and neither is going anywhere.
