Thanasis's ten day deal was up last night. Herring reported he wasn't at practice and there have been no reports of his getting another contract. The Knicks have an open roster spot again. If they sign someone I hope it is a point guard. Outside chance they bring Bogans up to improve the d.

At some point we have to do something with Early. Maybe Rambis might be able to find him minutes now that he will be the coach

I think I read that he would not be able to play until sometime in March. he is back with the team but limited in what he can do.

Yeah uh Cleananthony got shot a month or so ago. He shouldn't even be brought up. I think he can take the rest if the season off if he needs to.
I think it's going to get real for the Knicks down the stretch. Phil is paying attention. This we know for a fact. I fully expect something out of nowhere to take this team into the stretch of the season

We'll probably wait until after the trade deadline before we just sign another d-league guy to a 10 day because who knows what or if they'll make any trades so that might wanna keep that spot open just in case they end up filling it in a trade.

I'm silently hoping Phil signs him. Still there's alot to consider. The whole roster needs tweaking. We definitely need to package some guys to get another solid piece and open up some roster spots.

Phil was very clear that they would be aggressive and open to listen to any deals out there. It's gonna be very interesting to see what happens. They could make a deal that brought back one more player than they sent out since they still have the open spot. I don't know for sure that Phil would be looking for that much change this late but he did say he wanted to make an upgrade to the roster so ...

Seraphin was a Fish player. His deal is expiring but I wonder if Phil finds away to move him.
Seraphin cost us Schved. Thanks Fisher!

I have to think Phil would have NO PROBLEM moving him if he could.

Phil made it clear he wasn't the one that came up with the idea of bringing in Seraphin. I just hope Phil can bring in some help cuz this team really needs someone that can bring something else to the table besides what Seraphin or Lou has to offer off the bench. They're nearly useless at this point.
I actually liked KOQ but he's been a bit of a disappointment to me lately. I knew he wasn't very athletic but boy he seems like he's lost some hops since the start of the season. He can't jump over a quarter and can't score inside consistently enough. He looked better early on IMO. Now maybe he just needed more of a legit shot to play. Maybe Rambis can get more out of him. We'll see.

Can this have something to do with the reports that Fisher was not practicing them hard enough?
Playing D also requires a lot of effort and being in shape.
Can all this be related??
Can't wait to see what Rambis does tomorrow

Safe to say we all will be watching the game tomorrow
Wishful thinking on my part (although it shouldn't be) -- I'd LOVE to see some combination of the following backcourt upgrades (subtle/doable):
Sign Russ Smith.
Then give me one of the following:
Elliot Williams - Better than Tony Wroten. Scorer, ball-handler, quick, athletic.
Terrico White - I've liked this dude for some time now. Can't believe he's not in the NBA. Crazy athlete, physically strong/well put-together, good scorer, plays solid D, can handle and dish the ball. Has a real good feel for the game. Reminds me of Larry Hughes/Qyntel Woods. Imagine a 2nd unit that featured D-Will, Russ Smith and Terrico White--that'd be off-the-hook exciting.
Orlando Johnson - pure SG who would be a straight up upgrade over Vujacic.
Ty Greene - a very useful player in the John Paxson/Steve Kerr mold. We don't really need him now, we already have Calderon and Galloway, just someone to keep an eye on/keep tabs on. Could be a dynamite role-playing guard provided we upped the talent level first.
-------------------------------
Realistic guards we might be able to steal in a trade (I could see both being quality long-term players here):
Spencer Dinwiddie
Pat Connaughton
-------------------------------
Guards to keep an eye on in China/Japan:
Bryce Cotton
Jonathan Gibson - saw this guy play against Cotton in a Chinese game that was televised the other night. Dude's a player.

And if Shved were here, Fisher would still have his job as no way with him at PG are we as bad as we've been. Kind of ironic.

Was Seraphin really a Fisher dude??

Hard to picture it, right? Even after the handful of times he played well, Fish would just bury him again. Never gave this guy a long/consistent look. I think Seraphin should be established as part of this rotation--for one, he could help us. Go-to post offense and he can protect the rim. And two--we could up his trade value. If Seraphin's a one and done guy for us this year (say Willy H. takes over this role next year), I'd like to get something for him eventually if we could.

I don't know about that. Since we have so much invested in KO, he is the dude we need to develop. We need to know what we have in this dude. He needs to be in the 10 men rotation, and allow to backup Rolo accordingly.
My rotation would be: Gallo, AA, CARMELO, KP, RoLo
Grant, Jose, Williams, Lance, KO

See, I feel the opposite. I've got Seraphin ahead of KOQ. Just a better player imho.. Not a big deal--one of the two should be established as part of the rotation.
