Talked about it on the radio...I looked at some Twitter fees a little while ago and have not found anything about this elsewhere...nor sure of his sources, but he seems to have a good source telling him things.
Hahn hearing that they are listening to offers, and that Russell might be having issues being in LA and "living the life."
Makes you wonder if he would have had that issue here if he had ended up with us. Wonder if they are thinking of Westbrook, too.
Let's face it, they probably won't be offered enough to trade him, but the fact that he would be mentioned in a rumor this early in his career is kind of amazing.
Other stuff-
Hahn's hinting at another trade rumor (as of 1pm) as I write (Mentioned it was an analytics team- so I figure he is talking about Houston), but not giving out the rumor. Really milking this.
.... After an hour of waiting...Dwight Howard on the block...he and Harden cannot stand each other, and it sounds like they want to trade Howard sooner rather than later. No hint at his source, once again.
Feigen is a Houston guy...no talk of trading Howard, but much on the disunity on the team.
Pacers listening to offers for almost anyone on the roster (Hahn not as sure about this rumor)
Blake not on trading block...but they might regret resigning Jordan.
Heat might be looking to deal...Whiteside??? (They get penalized at the end of the year if they don't cut salary)
Nets really want Teague, and have shown interest in Milsap, but they don't have a ton of stuff to offer.
Can we please have D'Angelo Russell?
Howard stuff now confirmed by Wojo:
The Howard thing is not surprising. And I'd want no part of him here. The athleticism that made his game special is completely gone. He's a diva who is not nearly as good as he thinks he is anymore.
And that's without even getting into Hack-a-Dwight fests every game that would be miserable to watch.

They would probably ask for KP...and that is not happening.
We really have nothing to offer them.
I guess it really depends on how they plan to rebuild the Lakers...FA, or the longer type of rebuild.

No, I'm not giving them KP. It was sort of wishful thinking.
I'm shocked at how badly he's done. I really think that was situational though. If he'd gone to a team that was a better fit, I think it'd have gone differently.
Jumping ahead. Jax may be planning to head back there. KP should be untouchable regardless of any package LA offers.

Now this is truly conspiratorial.

Even Dolan can't be that stupid to sign off on something like that. (*Prays Dolan isn't that stupid*)

And at his price he doesn't fit in today's game. Doesn't shoot and is a horrific free throw shooter and of course he is the most self-centered player in the history. I rather keep Rolo and his contract

The Kobe thing is not good for his development, but the big thing I got from Hahn's rumor is that Russell has shown his youth by getting caught up in the LA night life.
Wonder how he would have done in NYC, which is also a "graveyard" for athletes with certain character weaknesses.

Hahahahahaha just our luck. That would fall right in line with he too 10 Knick disasters in the last 15yrs. Actually that even tips the Mcdyess trade, letting Lin go, giving H20 7yrs $100mil, trading Curry or Noah/Aldridge and not insuring Amare
I hope LA and the sixers swap Russell and OK4- both players need a change of scenery

+1
with a slight fix, just in case someone thinks you loved Eddie.
I applaud your maturity for not mentioning "The Trade". While I tout my own immaturity for mentioning that you didn't mention it.

Lakers took Russell cos Magic lost it saying they had to take him and he was the best player in the draft. When are teams going to stop listening to Magic's talent evaluation just cos he's Magic? He was the one who recommended Isiah to Dolan and the rest is history

Eddy Curry. Steph Curry was another screw up as Dantoni & Walsh broadcast to the entire league that we were taking him. GS swoops in at 6 and we get Jordan Hill at 7. A colossal blunder but much further down the list

Russell is horrible defensively, can't finish around the basket, is a marginal athlete and has a questionable attitude. Why would we be targeting this dude?
Too bad we have no picks next year, I would love to trade for Russel
The crazy part is, i don't think Russell is having that bad of a year. His numbers are similar to what you would expect as a 19-year old rookie, and he still probably ends up being a really good player, possible all-star, but the dysfunction of the franchise combined with the success of other rookies has really exposed him. I still think he's going to be really good. Probably a 18-20 ppg scorer with 6-7 assists in a couple of seasons.

I didn't like his attitude in the pre draft interviews, and being on that leaderless mess of the Lakers and having an abysmal coach seems to be bringing out the worst in him.

How did that work anyway? They picked before us. We were trying to move up in the draft, so it was no secret. But really, you think GSW was like "UH,I DUNNO? KNICKS WANT CURRY, SO DAT MEAN HE GOOD SO MAYBE WE SHOULD TAKE HIM?"
So how did we blunder?
Regarding Russell, does it really change Russells trajectory due to a slow start and immaturity for his whole career? While the salary won't match but I'd put Melo in a deal for him as the center piece if I thought he could be mentored over the next two seasons. Again, salary won't work but Rolo/Melo for Hibbert/Russell and salary. HIbbert drops I believe. Lakes would need to send more salary. This puts Lakers a bit more current and we go longer out. Next season we get our pick and we likely are lottery.
Its sucks, but its a rebuild.
