Knicks · Respectively to Lebron, won't win with current roster: Warriors,Steph is like MJordan beating rest of NBA in 90s for title(s) (page 1)

Lebron James is a great competitor, a champion all known hall-of-fame when he retires down the road.
However it's a real good thing he got his 2 NBA Miami Heat rings when he did.

Warriors still wins, I don't believe in Pro sports dynasties however Golden State may be on the back-to-back NBA titles
and maybe few more than projected. This don't bode well for NBA Lebron whose desire to win NBA title for Cleveland is
becoming a longshot.

I don't see any way the talents of CAVs being ever good enough to walk the walk & BEAT
G.S. Warriors as long as Steph & his cast of 2-way players remain healthy.

Cavs
Kevin Love ?
Kyrie Irving ?
JR Smith ? ?

Oh Pleassssssseeeee !
None of these guys with all respect to Kyrie are NBA hardened or got to level to compete and play hoops
the way which is needed to give Warriors a 7 game series in NBA Finals.

Kevin Love has alot to prove, I don't believe in him. He is with a good team, new coach
stats are false.

Kyrie is healthy and when healthy one of the best. But Can Irving make his teammates better ? Don't think so!

Lebron still young, got better chance of being a Knicks with a growing KProzingus and the right roster than
present cavaliers roster.

We'll see... Not to say some NBA team will perhaps surface to dethrone GS Warriors, don't see it being LBJs Cavaliers.

It may be sacrilege but I like Steph better, not necessarily because he's a better player (which is debatable) but because he's just a better ambassador for the sport. I think I have to go back to Magic and Bird to find two players who dominated the league and who were not complete prima donnas, see, e.g., Lebron, Kobe, Shaq, Wade etc. Yes Bird and Magic had egos but they didn't talk about themselves in the third perso, talk about "supporting casts" (all time peeve) or any of the other nonsense.

I put Steph in the same camp as Duncan, Leonard, Paul George, KD. Even though they're the competition I have no problem wishing them success. (And FWIW I think Lebron is better than Jordan)

Steph would go down top 3 of all time if it wasn't for his late start to this dominating style of play. He's leading one of the great teams of all time and neither Thompson or Green are even close to being a future hall of fame player. They will need a long string of seasons like this one to be considered. Curry is the only player in recent memory to lead this type of franchise without that surefire 2nd and/or 3rd guy who is great in his own right, although i do believe those 2 guys have a chance to get there on their own. Also, the league has really added an identity where Curry and Lebron run each coast, and then there's everyone else, similar to Magic/Bird. After Curry and lebron, there is a huge gap before the next best player (i.e. Davis, Durant, or Westbrook.) No debating Curry and Lebron are 1 and 2. Let's just hope the next era of great east/west battles includes KP vs. Towns/Davis.

Agree completely - he is just a lot more likable

Isola (note the source) is saying te Knicks have explored trading Melo to the cavs in a 3 team deal that would send Love to boston and picks and players to the Knicks. If the Cavs added Melo I think they have a shot at the Warriors/Spurs.

Doesn't it say Melo would veto it?

I responded in the wrong thread.
Isola's headline implies that but in the article he says Melo would have to waive his no trade clause for the deal to happen. I don't know if there is anything to it but I am sure LBJ is working Melo if Isola's rumor is real and not fabricated.
