Knicks · Stephen A. On Espn Radio said the Clippers are quietly looking to move Blake (page 2)
I'm not sure I see how another rookie, 2 years away from contributing, is what they need.
Aren't the picks more valuable in bringing in some veteran talent to make the team good sooner (?)

I think the Celtics are definitely going to try to make a play to get a Blake or a KLove or something for those picks this trade deadline. They don't need more pieces, they need to consolidate pieces in a power move.
The problem is, both the Cavs and Clips are in win now mode because of Bron and CP3 - so Melo is kinda the perfect piece to engage in a threeway trade... unless he doesn't want to go anywhere.
I bet Lebron and CP3 are talking Melo's ear off this weekend. I've seen Melo hanging with CP3 more than Bron, for what it's worth.

I'd probably want to go for getting a Brooklyn pick this year if possible. So is the official UK position now trending toward the belief that there is perhaps some substance to all the Melo trade rumors??
Hey Walt, I think logically, there must be something to the "trade rumors". Unless Phil really thinks we can get a major FA this off season.
It is almost odd, Melo for sure would love to play for a championship and he probably can make Cleveland compete for the next 3 years. That is huge, just depends on what else Cleveland can funnel to Boston, to get Boston to give us a package worth taking. And on the other hand, Melo would love LA, but his chance there just isn't as good imo, but still a hell of a lot better than here.
And on a lighter note, looks like Longmire is going to have one last season starting around September and each episode 1 hour each. http://masterherald.com/longmire-season-...
Kind of hoped we could have 7-8 seasons of Longmire. Quality show that does not seem to get the respect it deserves from the networks its been associated with.![]()
I'm thinking that if they can bring Kim and Kanye into a story line the show might have a chance to continue for a few more seasons. Perhaps the person formally known as Bruce Jenner can be signed for a few episodes and they can have Longmire investigate a hit and run death incident involving the former Olympic champion.
Then the show will get the attention it deserves.

Agree that something might be found under the mist obscuring the rumors...just seems that some have discounted the info reporters have put out for us to chew on.

That article or one of the other ones I read was interesting in that Longmire was geared towards a more mature audience. It sure is not action filled drama for teenagers.
So, they originally ended it for that reason but then Netflix picked it up as they wanted more of that audience - interesting.
ehehhe, Not sure you would enjoy Longmire meeting Kim and Kanya. But continue it would, new audience...

I'm a little more "mature" than some.
I had read about the A&E dump being demographics driven, despite decent ratings and critical success...had hoped it would last a bit longer than 2 years with Netflix.
So it goes.

longmire is a very nice show, very nice
I went nuts. Melo and Calderon to LA for Griffin and Stephenson. Flip Griffin to Atlanta for Teague and Horford. Frees up Lopez to trade to Denver for Gallinari. That definitely falls apart a bit there.
Teague
Stephenson/Afflalo
Gallinari
Porzingis
Horford

The awesome thing about that squad is that their games all compliment each other.

We can only hope he see's sense and OK's a trade to one of those two.
I guess this would assume Blake's value as a player to the Clips is low.
2 simultaneous trades.
trade #1
BOS: Blake
NY: DLee, Marcus Smart, Brooklyn 2016, other picks
LAC: Melotrade #2
NY: Lance Stephenson
LAC: Jose
Why would LAC do the second trade?

I think they were thinking about waiving Lance prior to Austin Rivers injury. He and Josh Smith were pconsidered problems on the clips. Jose and Lance have almost identical contracts.

I know it seems peculiar from the Bulls' end but they end up saving $13 million immediately and open up an additional $21 million in cap space to pursue Mike Conley with in the offseason. And with Mirotic and Portis waiting in the wings, they don't really need Taj Gibson anymore, which is why there are rumors surrounding his imminent departure.
What they do recieve isn't much BUT Calderon is still a decent backup in a pick and roll intensive offense AND he's best friends with Pau Gasol, who they supposedly want to keep beyond free agency.

come on man, teams don't give away decent players to just get cap space without wanting something in return.

Yeah that can work......in anyone's dreams.

What exactly are the Nuggets giving up here that is worth a franchise player like Blake? This is like the Melo trade but reversed since the Nuggets will the one getting fleeced on the starting and rotational players. That is too much to give for 1 player. Too much meaning players on your rotation. Nuggets are basically saying this season is done.

*"Meaningful" players on a bad team that aren't very good.
What was wrong about the Melo trade wasn't the players we gave up. Those guys didn't come close to matching Melo's value. What was wrong about the Melo deal was the fact that it didn't need to be made since Melo was an impending free agent. Those same players should've been dealt instead for CP3 who wanted to come to NYC but had 2 more years on his deal. So, I don't see the parallel between this situation and that.
