Well to start I want to trade Carmelo for 2-3 picks and I think after this season it can happen the rights to willie g restricted future 1s everything on table other than kp for right price like Martin said. We traded thj for essentially pick 15

callmened @ 2/24/2016 11:17 AM
We can't assume melo will lift his no trade clause. Even though I hope he does

Also no GM worth his money will trade a 1st rd draft pick for a bad player like hardaway. We got lucky

That's what you said last year too, right? No way that the Knicks could get another pick?

I mean, we are talking possibilities, and there is no doubt low probability of it happening, but if you constantly take a there-is-nothing-we-can-do roadmap, then there is nothing YOU will do.

The Knicks fell from 1st to 4th pick in the draft and it was over, the Knicks were DOOMED. The Knicks will NEVER get another draft pick. Why do the Knicks constantly sign afterthoughts like LT? Why did the Knicks sign DWill to an oversized contract? Rolo is not better than Cole and will NEVER get better.

OK.

BRIGGS @ 2/26/2016 11:03 AM

This is Bryn from the other night--has some John Starks in him as well.

Look at the ball AND player movement--this is how I want the Knicks to play. When the ball moveslike this its s impossible for the defense to catch up.

BRIGGS @ 3/2/2016 9:06 PM
Brynn 11-16 from 3 tonight--wouldve had 15-16 if they didnt take him out with 8 minutes left. The guys not on these mock drafts--my guess-1st rd pick.

Ill come back to this post and well have 9 guys saying yeah I like Bryn

sorry i never saw this to respond martin

the ATL GM/Coach was a FOOL to trade his 1st rd pick for hardaway. everyone in the league laughed at that. hes another example of why coaches shouldnt be GMs. in a nutshell, we got lucky and i dont rely on GMs being that stupid

my bad for being a debbie downer...or the there's "nothing we can do roadmap" as you call it. i feel like im being very objective when i think theres not much we CAN DO. our best asset has a no trade clause whos worth is eroding each game he plays. by the way, there IS something we can do: save our money for 2018, spend smart money on free agents on short term contracts and help KP grow. im simply not expecting much the next couple of yrs

if your overall point is to stop with the negativity (i call realistic objectivity) and let folks have fun with the trademachine, then ill stop. thats my bad

Ive watched him quite a bit--hes a pesty defender. he doesnt really shoot off or make plays with the dribble--hes a catch and shoot player(and hes very good at it). If he was anything that resembled a PG hed go top 5. But that being said--hes the best shooter in CBB and thats a translating skill in a league based on long range shooting.
Believe me hes going rd 1.

callmened @ 3/3/2016 12:46 AM
He might make the 1st rd cuz it's a weak draft. At the next level he will need to learn how to be able to dribble and get stronger

Well you just keep doing your best to try to impress anyone on a message board because you spend your time looking up players on the internet that won't be drafted by our team cause we have no draft picks. If we did then maybe some of us would care and be looking at draft prospects on the internet like you do. It's not hard to go look at some mock drafts or look up draft prospects on the computer......the internet is a wonderful thing.

Who would we trade to gain a draft pick? And it can't be much as this is the weakest draft in quite some time. Many have pointed out how this years college teams are pretty evenly stacked. Reason why there is no clear cut runaway favorite. It's hard enough guaranteeing that a draft pick can make the transition to the pros when they are held high above most of the other players in the NCAA.

Well I think 90% of Knicks fans want to trade Carmelo for young players and picks
