Damn right that's too high, but that's what it took to get Randy Foye.... these gms have no clue what they are doing

i guarantee if the knicks demanded that price you would say it was a fair price

Get outta here with that. Pick on someone your own dress size

thats a real nasty thing to say

It was a more rude suggestion for you to initially make.

it was stupid and uncalled for

Sorry bout that.... but I got your attention right? Don't put me in the same category with some of the imbeciles that come around here. I know my basketball and the nba rules.

i NEVER said you didnt know your basketball. However you get too personal sometimes if i dont always agree with you. Disagreements are totally fine AS LONG as there is respect. I look forward to talking hoops with you but keep it civil

hey man, not for nothing, but it seems like you take alot of comments to heart around here. I know you been around here long enough, but just seems like you get upset with posters often. just saying, no malice intended.

not really. Im very easygoing. Today was a bad day and Enyspree by his own admission went ovsrboard. This is a rare occurance

well alright then. cheers bro!

Would have been similar in some ways to the Bargnani deal, IMO. Possibly worse because we would have been giving up two rotation players AND a #1.

Since Morey seems to have initiated the Beverly offer to us, he had to figure we were the same old fools. Perhaps he thought we were as foolish as this fellow:

Happy we showed patience.
Got some players already - have capspace in the summer. Can make more moves then.
Most of these guys worked hard and deserve a chance to show how they can close out the season.

I also like many of the players on the team - Lopez, Lance, DWill, Galloway around Melo/KP.

Kemet @ 2/18/2016 8:54 PM
I will admit Beverly is a great backup PG, but so is Gallo ..
I don't recall a season where Beverly value rise to be worth a top 15 pick.
I wouldn't trade rookie Grant for Beverly, Calderon or Afflalo i would.

dude is the most passive aggressive poster here. Takes a dig at Eny. Eny comes back and says bugger off. Starks goes on his usual backpeddling why can we all just be friends whiney baloney and acts shocked that someone was miffed by one of his usual digs or snide comments. But yea.. lets all just talk basketball after I write something like "i guarantee if the knicks demanded that price you would say it was a fair price" which directly translates into "you are fulla crap."

Kum-ba-phuckin-ya.

Im sure he will tell me not to get upset. Lucky would be if he put me on ignore.

And yea... lousy trade and Phil has not only moved away from the trading picks trend, but he's showed the opposite.

This. This is also the problem with Jose and the perception right now. Jose is a poor starter. Galloway is an excellent backup. Galloway is also a poor starter and has a ton of limitations. I think Beverly is a most consistent defender than LG, but that's hard to quantify and certainly debatable. LG is probably a better scorer.

PG problems are exasperated by AA's lack of guard play. He shoots and really does nothing else. Not a ball mover, not a defender, not a rebounder. JR Smith for all his idiocy could handle, make plays, hit guys for assists... AA doesn't and that puts even more pressure on our PGs.

I would be very temped to give Grant a 5 game stretch starting with Jose, and play LG and AA off the bench. Use Jose as a shooter more, play some P&R with Grant and Rolo (their bread and butter) and go from there. For some reason P&R is a bad word in the triangle universe?

That Grant and Calderone pairing is interesting, although I get a picture of the SGs flying past Calderone too. I'm feeling that another option needs to be brought in on a 10 day contract to give us another ball mover. Maybe Tony Worten or one of our D-Leaguers. We are slipping out of playoff contention and into experiment mode.

you figure with Jose/Grant that Grant guards the bigger scoring threat, be it PG or SG. Its not ideal but the thought process is what we did with Kidd/Felton. The extra ball mover was a big help. Just a thought.. but Grant should get a good 5+ game look of heavy minutes before the season is done, unless we are actually in a legit playoff race and the coaching is tighter and Rambis leans on the vets more. If the Knicks win 6 of 7 and cut their games back to 2 or 3 than I think you have to go for it.

Look... I get guy's frustration with playing Jose. His defense is that of a drunken prom date... lay down and take your groping. The problem is Grant or Galloway have done anything close to enough to take over his minutes, so we keep seeing Jose and that is the right coaching move. If things get away from us quickly here than you have to just throw him out there and give him some burn.

Its not as simple as some would say right now... Jose is the best of the worst right now. Phil has build a good frontcourt. Backcourt is going to be tougher with no lottery pick or HOFer to start with. Fingers crossed.

Jesus, is Morey out of his mind or what?!? Dude's not interested in pulling off amicable trades--he's interested in raping teams. At least that's how I feel the few times we've had to deal with him...If I'm Phil, I would've laughed at him and said, "you know what, Daryl? I'll make you a small bet. You keep your boy Beverley. I'm gonna go get Russ Smith out of the DL and I bet you I'll have the better player by the end of the year."
