Knicks · The Jimmer Era Begins! Game #1 (page 12)

WP76 @ 2/22/2016 9:40 PM
Realizing we've been in a death spiral for a few weeks now, this is as demoralized as I've been this year.
Chandler @ 2/22/2016 9:40 PM
If Knicks pay attention they'd learn from raptors what player movement is all about as opposed to mere ball movement

We suck

ChuckBuck @ 2/22/2016 9:41 PM
Rambis has to start Grant next game, phuck Hose-A. His presence on the court sinks the whole team from the jump ball.
crzymdups @ 2/22/2016 9:41 PM
We're at the point of the season where I just want to see Grant playing 24-30min a night right now.
Malcolm @ 2/22/2016 9:41 PM
Lowry triple-double . . .
CrushAlot @ 2/22/2016 9:41 PM
Why is Melo still playing?

Hmmmmmm Lowry even doing it without Jose on the court and it still looks easy.

this roster has no energy, no fire, and this system is the absolute worse

It's tough to watch especially after they played well in their last game.

There's also a world of difference between Toronto and Minnesota.

Refs are out of control this year. KP slams the ball in frustration with the Knicks defense and he gets T'ed up during a timeout. Show some discretion. Geez.
Knixkik @ 2/22/2016 9:43 PM
This game is more of the same. We see the dominance of our front court in stretches, but the backcourt is tough to watch. We can't be a good team no matter how well our front court plays.

Agreed. That was truly a WTF technical.

yellowboy90 @ 2/22/2016 9:44 PM
Guards are 4-19.

Also, I love the decision to keep Lopez out. Thanks Phil

SocraticBallin22 @ 2/22/2016 9:44 PM
This would be a perfect time to audition Jimmer in the last 5 minutes. The game is over.

Don't you know? We're trying to make the playoffs!

crzymdups @ 2/22/2016 9:44 PM
Malcolm wrote:Okay, I'll concede that at 22-22 the Knicks were over-achieving.

So what is the difference now (?)

Lopez is playing better.

Calderon is no worse than he was.
Anthony is no worse than he was.
Williams is no worse than he was.

But Afflalo, Thomas, and Porzingis have fallen off.

Bottom line: the team is too dependent on Porzingis.

When Porzingis is playing as he was earlier . . . Calderon's lack of contribution is less of a problem.

I think Lance has fallen off a lot. His defense was very important and it doesn't seem to be a factor anymore.

WP76 @ 2/22/2016 9:45 PM
As Mike Lupica said in yesterday's column, maybe Phil can try this again but (next time) with some guards.
yellowboy90 @ 2/22/2016 9:45 PM
Rambideaux running Melo into the ground.
Knicks1969 @ 2/22/2016 9:45 PM
We want jemmer
