Knicks · Jimmer sent back down (page 1)

What a complete joke that we didn't even try to play him --- what could have been worse ?

Kind of disappointing, but no other NBA coach has given Jimmer the reigns to play his way either, so you can't really fault the Knicks brass - though it's a bit of a head scratcher that neither Jimmer nor Grant are getting big minutes, given the dubious state we're in. I'm guessing Rambis still believes we have a 5 game winning streak in us - and that it could still elevate us to the 8th seed.

Back to Jimmer - There are some players whose games don't really fit the mold - and you limit them by not letting them play their way. Jammer's play in college (and even the D League) showcase the limitless range and the cockiness/swagger that's simply infectious. Make a play that will lead to a score.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmer or even Steph's brother (he lit up the D league last year en route to a title) could have a big mini-Steph impact on offense if you just let them play.

Are Jimmer's awareness/ability/instincts/effort on D so terrible (even with 2 shot blockers on the Knicks) that teams won't let him on the floor? (makes me sick seeing Sasha on the floor, not making anything happen)

It sounds like the Knicks might sign Tim Frazier. The Knicks considered him before they brought up Jimmer.

So Jimmer was given a token callup

Community pick.

Rambis said his defense was bad. He was getting pushed around in practice. At all levels, you need to earn playing time. He was given a week to earn it in practice and did not.

It can't be as bad as Calderon.

as bad as our guards are if he didnt show anything against them in practice, i dont think he might have been all that effective long term against better guards ie the entire league, so now he can get picked up by some other team. Which doesnt seem to be happening
