Grant played 14 minutes....
he has only one steal.... (1 cheap rebound and two assists after I wrote this)
he blew 2 straight easy layups.
He's on the floor now with the Knicks losing the lead.
How do you give the kid more minutes?
I understand our season is basically over. Most want Jerian to get more minutes to help him gain confidence. Truthfully had he earned it? How can you tell guys that are playing better than him to sit while he gets more minutes?
Rambis is giving him his shot tonight. He hasn't shown up. With the guys in front of him, and his college experience, we shouldn't be having this conversation.
Yall gonna ignore this because the Knicks won. If the Knicks lost I would be getting killed for this thread

The guys that are playing better than him are still stinking it up out there so tell me what does it matter especially since our season is over anyway??
if he sucks then send his as$ to the D league and play sign Wroten or someone.
Also, who cares. Calderon is terrible too. Play the kid.
He needs minutes whether it is in msg or the county center. Guys do improve with minutes. Look at O'Quinn two weeks ago he looked like a guy you trade for a second round pick.
Jerian isn't a vet but I remember Amare playing 10 minutes every other game and looking like he was done. When he finally got minutes consistently he was a different player.
Goodness gracious he is a rookie..

Yes hes a rookie.....and NY is no place for rookies to grow.
I saw the blown layups.... and I atill thought it was a good move to even get in position for those layups.....Grant doesnt know how good he is yet. Grant will be a nice serviceable NBA vet. I am surprised he wasnt sent to the D league yet.

Jerian should have been sent down to the d league months ago. I think that's Fishers fault. He wanted the kid in the main roster. If he spent a month down there he would be ahead of the curve.
He's going to have to really show and prove down the stretch and in the summer. He's a rookie but he's 23 with 5 years of college experience. He should have taken Calderón and Galloway spot by now

Totally agree on your first point...
I cant understand why we haveng signed anybody better than our two PG scribs.
But i have an issue with the argumentation... Calderon sucks too so play Jerian!
Now the coaches see Jerian play our very own worst pg who cant penetrate or defend a lick PG every single practice against...
What worries me as much as the very little poditive hes shown in the spot minutes he got this season is that he has obviously not been able to convince anyone that he is WAAAY better than Calderone in practice!!!
I mean he obviously isnt shutting him down OR blow by him in every possesion as EVERY other Pg does so routinely and easily in the games!!!
Thats scarry to me in terms of jerians nba potential on the mid and long term as well!!
How as a young and quick pg can you NOT shine in every single practice against Jose?!?

I believe in Jerian, but he has to beat these guys out. He hasn't. I'm sure if Jerian was destroying Calderón in practice he would be starting by now. He hasn't. He constantly blows laps and looks totally shell shocked. Calderón and Galloway have been horrible. Like I said this should not have been this difficult to earn the starting spot. Next year the pressure is really going to be high for Jerian... he's going to be 24
Dude really needs to work on his shot bc he has no confidence in it.
He penetrates the lane really well but misses too many lay-ups & doesn't go to the line enough.
This is why you draft the best player available & not for need.
Bobby Portis was that best player available.
