It's like getting a 1st round pick this year where we don't have one. Develop him with our young core. Just hope Kurt plays him. He can help us now.

how is it a "really good signing?" every other team in the league could have signed him for almost 3 months and no one did. the guy isn't very good.

Way to go on bringing the nagativity to us finally bringing in a guard no matter who it is.

I wonder if the Knicks were waiting to see if Lawson would sign with them before signing Wroten.

Lawson officially signed last night with Pacers. 12 hours later, Knicks finalize a deal with Wroten.

these are horrid numbers...

Everyone already knows he's not a good shooter but he gets to the basket and to the foul line and plays defense.

but we already know that grant and sasha stink... comparing him to their numbers doesn't make me feel any better about the signing lol

look i get it, it's a low-risk move, but im just not expecting anything from the guy.

He wanted ti sign with the Knicks. I posted before that he thought he was signed twice by the Knicks and posted it in twitter but deleted it right away. I think he gave the Knicks the opportunity to see if they could make a trade and give Grant and Ferdette a chance.

He's got a better handle than any guard we have, can get to the rim better than any guard we have. He's big, athletic. He could be a 1 or maybe he works on his three point shot and winds up being a nice 2 guard to play next to Grant. He's a great defender. He's 22. He averaged 16pts 5reb 5ast over a full NBA season at age 21. That's pretty good.

Sixers cut him - it sounds like he was cut because he was injured. Sounds like he won't even play this season.

folks this is more of a training camp invite for next fall. nothing is guaranteed
GoNyGoNyGo @ 3/7/2016 12:14 PM
If healthy, this is a smart, low cost move with great upside!

For the Knicks part, I have a feeling they were waiting to see how the Lawson situation played out.

May have also been waiting on medical reports. Again, Howard Beck is reporting Wroten won't play this season.

Yup. So this thread will probably be like ten pages long by the end of the day...

Hey i'll still take it. It's a smart move if he works out GREAT! If not, no harm done.

Yeah they were waiting to see who they can get during buyout season too. It's a great opportunity for us I don't think we will be able to upgrade on the free agent market during the summer.

the biggest plus for us fans is we might have 2 very good players in Grant and Wroten. Both are 22 and 23 respectively. They both are 6'5" and 6'6".... the potential there is something to get really excited for

Well said. Hope he does play and auditions this year. Is he really still injured?
